Great Location with nice Staff which helped me with some good trip ideas. It’s located close to the piazza granda and is surrounded by many cute stores. Really enjoyed the common area. Breakfast provided everything i needed. Can‘t wait to return here soon again.

Great Location in the center of locarno

We were looking for a one-night place to stay in Locarno and were very happy to find a room with a private bathroom in this hotel. Cosy, clean place with helpful hosts and central location. Albergo has got a kitchen with a nespresso machine - why don't all the hotels yet have that? There was no aircon in the room but Ulrich kindly provided us with the fan which made it a bit easier on the hot night. A bonus was a balcony overlooking the mountains.

Cosy well located place to stay

The hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance from the railway station, in the old part of the city. Very nice building, clean, has lots places to relax including terrace, patio, very nice owner, but noisy if people outside are shouting in the middle of the night - but this is out of the control unfortunately. Overall nice place to stay to visit nearby Ascona 

Good location, clean

Stayed here 2 nights for the Locarno film festival. It's a nice hotel, 2 minutes from the main square in a quiet side street. The room was basic but clean, comfortable and quiet. Shared bathroom and toilets but these were super clean so we didn't mind. Breakfast a few francs extra I think, and typical continental fare - nothing special and probably better to go out - but breakfast isn't really a Ticinese thing. Staff were friendly. Free wifi but doesn't reach all the rooms.

Great for festival

Hotel was in a great location just past the square and on a small quiet street that leads to the old town. The hotel is set around a courtyard with a shared lounge downstairs and small fridge that you can use.
Most rooms have a share bathroom but I never had any issues with having to wait to use it.
My room was big but basic and had no air con or fan which meant I had to leave the window open at night. This wouldn't have been a problem but I got bitten quite badly by mosquitoes.
The owners of the hotel were friendly and it appears that people that stay there have been doing so for years and the other guests were also friendly.
They also had wi fi(although i couldn't get it too work) and a computer you could use.
The only gripe I have is that I think breakfast should be included in the price as the price per night was rather expensive for what just a room, other hotels I stayed in  switzerland were cheaper, included breakfast and had a bathroom.
I would stay here again but not for the price I paid.
