The best filets de perche in the world. The sauce is just exquisite and really pleases the palet with hints of perfection. The waiters are nice, the food arrived quickly and the two-service offer is just amazing !! You get to eat filets de perche TWO TIMES with the two different sidings. Of course, with such deliciousness comes a price but it's definitely worth it. We'll come back.

Ever eaten the best filets de perche?

Inappropriate comments from manager that it was just him and I in hotel, made me uncomfortable, locked my door. Yelled at. Forced to move my room as a single woman when family arrived. Moved to room above kitchen that stank.

Inappeopriate rude treatment

Without a doubt the best Filet des Perches, but please do the "Sauce Maison".  Great staff and location and I think reasonably priced for the quality of food.  So close to Lake Geneva and when warm enough the lawn is great.

My favorite restaurant in Vaud

Got checked in by a an employee that has yet to learn to say Bonjour . just given the key and was told the room was on the first floor and walked away!
 small showers sink area but no toilet, surprise! Back to reception to be told these rooms had no toilets and there was 1 toilet per floor (3 rooms) and there was no other rooms available.....
I did not notice this on the booking.com website did not read past the part were it said shower in room, thought this would also mean it had a toilet. My fault.
The beds are two singles pushed together.
WARNING DO NOT cuddle up on one bed as it falls apart Had to take the mattress of and fix the bed together again you could see that this was not the first time this has happened
It looks like the ceiling is about to fall down big cracks and tiles hanging down

Breakfast. No fruits,Cheese,Ham Eggs Cereals. What you get Orange juiceout of a carton no other juice 2 croissants 2 slices of bread cut in two a selection of jams and honeys and spreads.

Check out is the same as checking in get your money ant that’s it, in the room it had the room rates that was put at Sfr 130,. Per night I asked why I was charged Sfr139.0 on was told that as I had booked with Booking.com i had to pay the commission that they pay!!!! A first for me.

Needless to say as we left no one says Goodbye

Excellent filets de perches. Some of the best I've had. Home-made wine sauce is delicious. Beautiful view overlooking the lake. Recommend booking a table in the garden section to enjoy the view as close as possible to the lake. Service very nice. Parking easily nearby.

Best filets de perches

Booked as a one night stopover on our way to Italy. Room was nice and comfortable - just a little "tired" (painted polystyrene tiles on the ceiling!). Had a shock with the food though. Looking for something basic to eat that night and went to the hotel's restaurant. We don't do fish, so had a basic steak and chips, but that, with drinks for two left little change from £120 UK. I appreciate that is not necessarily the hotels fault - Switzerland is expensive - but it was a shock. Hotel breakfast is OK but nothing to write home about. Very basic.

Average room - very expensive food

Hotel Restaurant de la Plage, is located down a little narrow road, in a very small place called La Falaise (Gland) - coming from Nyon, first exit at the roundabout after the Schilliger Garden center. The restaurant is located right on the lake Geneva shoreline. Literally! It actually has a small landing dock if you sail there. It is a family style restaurant, with generous portions, great service, year in year out same high level of quality & service. Their speciality is the filet de perche. They do a la carte obviously, however most people go for some kind of menu - with the main difference being whether you get one or two servings of fish & fries (other kinds of sides possible). They are either served meuniere or with the home-made sauce. Word of the wise; if you go for the "Full Monty" as I call it - make sure you bring along your appetite!!!!! The setting for this restaurant - especially in summer time - is close to unbeatable ... lake in front of you, the alps .... Some people will argue that the fish are not from Lake Geneva - having tried both, I think you need to be a top-chef to actually taste the difference .... either way, this does not stop me from saying that this is by far the best place I have tried for filet de perche. It should also be said, that this is also a great place to come sit and enjoy a coffee in the summer time, as they are open all day long (closed Mondays). I would highly recommend booking in advance. Enjoy !!!!!

what an amazing place

We stayed in this hotel while visiting friends in Gland.  We lived in Gland from 1974 to 1984 and spent quite some time at the lake below the hotel and ate many times in the restaurant so wanted to stay there.  It is a very charming hotel.  The room was perfect with a lovely view to the lake.  Breakfast was included for a very reasonable price.  The restaurant is known for it's filets de perche.  The best anywhere in the region.  

Great find

Comfortable room with very small en-suite. Room overlooking Lac Leman a bit off the main road. We didn't try dinner instead went into Nyon. I'm sure the restaurant would have been good as many tables laid for dinner. Breakfast was very basic, no cereal just bread, stale croissant, jams and coffee.  Better value than hotels in Nyon and Geneva. Switzerland is very expensive compared to France, probably double the price.
