We stayed 2 night in July and really enjoyed the personal service and felt very welcome and comfortable. The food is also great en very affordable. The room and common area and shared facilities were well looked after and we look forward to our next vist.

Personal service in excellent location

The location overlooking the sea and harbour is great. We had a pleasant evening sitting in front of our room eating prawns and drinking wine. 

Everything else is not good. the bar and restaurant was open only for breakfast. the rooms are small and poorly furnished.  The price (at 250 Euro per night) is expensive even by Swedish standards.

Good location, but not much else

The location was great, but the beds were terrible. The madress was bending up towards the one side, which meant me and my partner was pulled towards the middle in an already small double bed.

Not a good nights sleep, and got no compensation when complaining the day after although we payed double the price compared to another room because we wanted to sleep in the same bed.

Good location, but poor beds

The only positive argument is the location and views, at least if you book a seaside room. The rooms at the back have no views. These rooms also have to share the bathroom and are equipped with bunk beds. To access the bar/restaurant from the back rooms you have to go down the stairs outside walk around the building go upstairs. Despite a small corridor(3 meters) which is located on the first floor but considered private.   All the rooms are not better then youth hostel standard. 
Towels are not exchanged and the rooms or beds are not being made up. The restaurant was smelly when we arrived and looked a bit smudgy. There is no cook during late afternoon. The rooms are not supplied with a cupboard but just with a small coat stand.We used the table for our clothes Our room at the front (2) had a broken shower head, faulty blinds repaired linoleum floor. The bathroom is very simple supplied with a floor squeegee to dry the shower area. The so called double bed is not more then a big single bed so we slept apart the couch was transfered in a single bed. The decorative pillows are dirty which where probably used by quest as an extra pillow. Breakfast is simple and often not replenished. The rooms are very small and desperately need an upgrade. We had to be in Fjallbacka, and because there was a wending the other hotels where fully booked. All the above would be no problem if they charged reasonable prices for the quality provided but grab a chair we paid for the bunk bed room €140 and for the front room €206 per night For this kind of money you can stay in a 5* hotel in a big european city This hotel has one motto quickly earning no price/quality ratio

5* prices for 2* facility

Terrific location but you dont want to pay exclusive hotel price for bunk-bed and youth hostel standard. Our friends payed 2700 SEK per night, no breakfast and no electric outlets (however there were lamps!). You can rent a house or stay at a hostel for less money and still explore the beauty of Fjällbacka and the sea.
