The place was great, pool was very nice and we we´re lucky enough to see all kinds of animals. Peacocks, Monkeys, Lizards, it was great! We even had a dog that would follow us around and "guard" our door at night. All in all, I would highly recommend staying if you´re in the area.

location is perfect

So we got here and there's no sign, the hotel goes by a different name -- not sure why they advertise this hotel as Peakcockland if this is not the name. Took about an hour to find and figure this out. Everything was run down - the lock on the door didn't work, the fan barely worked (so hot), shower dropped out small drops of water, the wifi didn't work. I've stayed in other hotels all over Sri Lanka for half the price that were double as nice as this place.

Doesn't really exist

Where do I start... firstly checking into the guest house is a nightmare. Our taxi tried calling the number for directions but no one answered. We turned up to a sign saying peacock land 60meters then no other sign to be seen. Walking around with heavy bags we walked into a property and the people working there do not even know if it is peacock land!!! Calling the manager to confirm, was left very confused. We then had to walk a separate hotel to find out that yes it was peacock land but it had changed names!!!! 
They said our room wasn’t ready so we decided to go to the pool. The pool was dirty with a layer of scum on the top and bottom and the sun beds were mucky. We decided the beach was a better option. When leaving we realised there was no lock on our door! We asked why this was and when it would be fixed. They offered us a new room but packing our bags up was not an option as we were fed up by this point on how poorly organised this place is! 
To top it off there was no electricity until 7pm (when we overheard it would be fixed by 5pm) and this meant no hot showers. No member of staff came to check on how we were getting on and let us know about this problem. 
We were offered a later check out as “compensation” on the day we leave but as you can gather from all of the above, we are more than happy to check out before 10am.
The noise from the mosque in the evening and at 5am also doesn’t help with your sleep.
Overall an extremely poorly organised place and manger is rude such a shame as could be something great! 


Do not bother

We had booked the rate with daily massage which was wonderful for a massage lover like me. It was very relaxing to stay and have the view over the lagoon and as the beach is anyway only 1 min away the location is good. The breakfast was good too.

Wonderful relaxing stay

Extremely good location. Very close to the beach and very calm and quite place with a pool. Rich breakfast with so many varieties. Loved the nature thoroughout and the view of the lagoon was amazing along with the peacocks that visited us often.

this property's location is good and convenient to the nearby attractions.  The staffs are very expedinced and well trained. the breakfast was very good. Their SPA service was good and got to know that they provide proper Ayurveda treatments to their guests. I will definitely recommend this property.
