Everything was perfect. More than perfect. Excellent 🤩 I can’t say nothing bad. 

Suranga help us with everything what we wanted and we spent in Blue Skies 6 great nights. If you will be in Tangalle, you should visit his place. 

Everything was super clean, food was great, perfect music and few minutes near the beautiful beach.

One of the best place I have ever been in Srilanka.

An amazing place to relax and eat very good food. Highly recommended! The rooms & bathrooms are very clean, super comfy beds. Luxury for a very fair price :) Perfect location near an amazing beach. Order the catch of the Day the day before and you'll have super tasty fresh seafoood 😍 Possibility to watch turtles  and rent kayak or scooter in the Resort nearby.

Best guesthouse in Sri Lanka

Having been to Tangalle twice before and eaten at the restaurant on countless occasions, we finally managed to stay... Booked a bigger room than necessary but thoroughly enjoyed the space, air con and large veranda overlooking the garden.  Breakfast options were great, western, healthy and Sri Lankan, all sampled and all delicious and eaten on a lovely terrace.  The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and should you need anything Suranga, the owner, was always on hand to give advise, order tuk tuks or just have a chat!!! 

What’s not to love ❤️

Tangalle is quite spread out and the Blue Skies is at the quieter southern end. Located close by to a small lagoon, it is ideal for nights dining on the beach with very few people. A large resort is nearby which has excellent meals and the perfect spot for a sunset beer right on the beach. We viewed turtles swimming by in the breaking waves.

The Blue Skies is a small lodge with a laid back vibe and very nice rooms. Breakfast excellent and the host very friendly and always on hand to offer advise and assistance.

We had a curry dinner which was probably the best of our entire stay. Make sure you give them plenty of notice so the various curries can be prepared.

Though we had only booked one night here initially, it became apparent that a second night was a worthy stay. The host arranged a scooter which is an excellent way to explore the Tangalle coastline. He also arranged a car and driver for the trip to Ella.

Nothing but Blue Skies from now on....

We spent 8 days at this. Stunning guest house. The food was amazing. we eat there. Most nights as it was the freshest and tastiest food in Tangalle, the lobster, fish, curry’s etc. was amazing. The owner Suranga was super friendly and played really cool music. Our room was massive with 2/ 4 poster beds, a great patio and everything was spotlessly clean. The room was in a beautiful garden with loads of wildlife, wild peacocks, monkeys, owls, beautiful birds etc. If you’re in Tangalle you must stay there, 5 star accommodation and a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. Thanks Suranga for a fabulous start to our tour of Sri Lanka.

Beautiful Guest House

We planned to stay 2 nights here and decided to extend after only 3 hours in the blue skies. Not only is the accommodation by far the cleanest and spaciest on our whole trip, everything is beautifully decorated. You can see that someone put much love in this place. The beds are really comfy and big, AC, fan and hot water worked perfectly. The accommodation really is 5 minutes away from the beach (if you want to go there, e would recommend to stay under the palm trees of the mangrove resort as it gets very hot). Blue Skies also that by far the best food we had in hotels. While we got toasted flatbread and a banana in every other place, that description here meant a fruit plate with papaya, passion fruit, ananas and banana and toasted fresh brioche, which was amazing, fresh tee and western good coffee. We also tried the pasta, burgers and sandwiches which were really good as well - better than the restaurants in town. We really loved the warm, relaxed atmosphere and music in this place and felt very welcome. In addition, there is really not one small thing to complain about with the service, our host just did a perfect job to make out stay as relaxing and great as possible. If you are looking for a great place in tangalle, don't look any further. We absolutely didn't pay a cent too much for what we got and would come back here anytime. Thank you for The wonderful days! 

The most wonderful place 

Our favourite guesthouse in Sri Lanka! Beautiful accommodation with lots of little extras that make it super special! Awesome restaurant, serving the most delicious food and drinks, the best we have had in our travels. Great location 5 minutes walk to the beach. The owner Suranga is awesome, super helpful, the service here is amazing. We will definitely be back but for a much longer stay next time.

Paradise found 💖

We had room upstairs, it was large and clean. Everything was fine. Wifi connection is only close to the main building, but it's enough. Beach is located 10min by walk from the hotel, there is a natural pool, where is possible to swimm.
Host always smiles, he is so kind. And he can prepare amazing meals. It was great stay for us.
