While I would look for a 4 or 5 star hotel my sister, who was thumbing thru a old guide book, came up with this ‘home stay’. I could not fault it in anyway. Off the ring road and slightly up the hill, it’s far enough away to be above the tuk tuk noise and pollution. It’s an easy 10 minute work down to the lake and then into town.
Our hosts were really friendly and ready to help with suggestions and arranging a car to Dambulla.
Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day and dinner if requested.

Wonderfull place, very lovely people, it felt like home, breakfast was huge and tasty, and evening meals where prepared with love and care. Great room, lots of space, and near to  the lake and the temple.

Absolutely Wonderfull

I stayed 5 days in this house and I particularly appreciated the family. All of them are really kind and friendly and helpful and arranging. Breakfast is great also. Rooms are clean and terrace is such a nice place for chilling. I recommand!

Lovely family and great stay in its home !

What a lovely family! Both dinner and breakfasts were delicious and the rooms, while very basic, were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellently located a short walk from town. What made the stay extra special were the hosts, Mrs Dissanayake and her son Shiral who went out of their way to make us feel at home and were extremely friendly and engaging. This was our first stop in the country and what great ambassadors of Sri Lanka they were! Highly recommended!

Wonderful home stay, fantastic hosts

This homestay is run by a Buddhist family...Very friendly people...The mother and son will make you feel at home...You will never feel you are staying somewhere else...We felt at home...The breakfast and dinner served by them was great....Will surely go back to stay with them....Best homestay we have stayed till date...

Excellent Homestay

I had a great stay in this place. Dissanayake family is very nice, warm and helpful.
The place is well located. While being in a in calm area with a nice view, it is still close by the Tooth Temple (10 min walking distance), and to the city center (20 min walking distance). The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was fantastic!
I definitely recommend this place.
