Something new for Sri Lanka, I think. The interior and exterior is more British or European. I loved the colors of the walls – calm and modern. The owner has delicious taste! 
We travelled with group 6 people and they have 3 rooms here, so we rented the entire house. We had a little party in the evening with BBQ on the terrace, watching the night lights of Kandy. Staff is willing to help you with all your crazy ideas)) Manager Dean helped us to organize our little party. In the hall there is also a billiard table so you can play, having a bottle of beer.
I would say it is a luxury place (sometimes you miss that in Sri Lanka:)), especially for this price. And of course the view is good both – in the morning and in the evening was fantastic.

We stopped by Lin-Dix unannounced as we arrived in Kandy earlier than originally planned and an other hotel booking did not work out. The lady taking care of the hotel was incredibly welcoming and offered us the choice of three rooms. We also had access to lounge in the main open area with cool breezes and a stronger wifi connection than from our room at the far end of the house. 
She also did an extra clean of a couple things in the room when I asked. The TV connection initially did not work, but again the caretaker got on the phone with the owner to rectify this straight away. 

The shower water pressure was not very strong, but we found a similar issue at a neighbouring hotel where we stayed the following night. So, I think this is an issue with the area versus hotel specific. 

Comparing the two hotels, I preferred Lin-Dix for its nicer furnishings, air conditioned room, satellite TV and comfortable bed. 

There are no places to eat in this part of Kandy and a return tuk tuk costs 1000Rs, or 500Rs one-way.  It’s a nice location to stay, however, as it’s quiet with nice views compared to the city centre. 

Friendly and attentive

It is a 3 storey house so it is very spacious. It offers a great view. The pool table is definitely a bonus and we enjoyed playing it. The host is friendly and talkative. Breakfast is average. However the location is not quite convenient as it is on top of the hill.

Nice place to stay regardless of location

Nice place in the hills of Kandy, very nice neighbourhood. 
There's enough space, you're able to walk around in the entire house. 

The housekeeper Din had his own space downstairs and cooked us good breakfast and provided us with very good information about the city, how to go to the Pinawella Elephant orphanage and botanical garden. The first day of our arrival he helped us out with booking a ticket at at the theater show near candy lake and the buddha temple. 

Overall very good experience, recommendable guesthouse !

Nice house in a nice neighbourhood

Poor air quality. Bring your own oxygen tank to breathe because the staff is burning plastic and other stuff in the backyard. Surprised to see Trip Advisor has approved this hotel. Their actions are so unwelcoming despite the amazing view and other anmeties.

Amneties and the view is perfect, but poor air quality

It was being good expedience I had in kandy but the house is nort good no hot water Barth rooms are nort clean  bed  sheets are nort clean & had to find the hotel  

If your going thare make sure that u have your private transport
