We visited this hotel for the second time in an all-inclusive 2 week format. There is a lovely, friendly atmosphere at this hotel and once you enter reception there is a wonderful ambience. The staff are incredibly friendly, courteous and helpful and a special mention must go to Madhavee Sachithra, who surrounded us with her hospitality and care from the first days of our stay. She is a very cordial and professional person. The choice of food in the main restaurant was very good and there was always a good selection of local dishes; although we had to be careful about spiciness on some of them. The delicious desserts were mainly European style and fresh fruit. The standard of our room was very good. It was large, clean and cleaned daily. Our room 130 was on the ground floor with a balcony and a view of the pool and the sea. There were never any problems with sunbeds and the pool staff were always helpful and made sure you had a sunbed of your choice. The pool was beautiful and maintained to a high standard. The pool bar was an added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Royal Palms. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed in so I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
