Felt like a home from home the moment I was welcomed by Aroshina and her family.

A beautiful villa that looks exactly like the photos. Clean and colourful with exotic touches with inside and balcony spaces outside your comfortable clean room you can also comfortably relax in.

The location is walkable to Galle Fort but the family readily provided a drop off and pick up Tuk Tuk service just by asking.

The daily breakfast is a delicious Sril Lankan feast! and the  cooking experience with Aroshina is a MUST DO it was def. the highlight of my short Galle trip.
From preparation to eating it felt like you were at home with laughter and conversation among the learning.
She welcomed my sister who wasn’t even staying at the villa to join and it was a true Sri Lankan homely experience.
Sitting down to eat the feast we had cooked with the Aroshina and the other guests in the villa was a fun delight, we ate we drank we laughed and shared stories.
This was a genuine experience you won’t find in other formal cooking lessons.
Aroshina is a professional, an amazing cook and teacher and host.

Home from home in a lovely boutique Villa with an amazing cooking class

This place is a little miracle and a must-visit place in Galle! A very beautiful, causy, comfortable and sweet corner with extremely helpful, kind and honest owners. It takes only 4 minutes by tuk-tuk to reach Galle Fort and the ride is super cheap. The owner has a tuk-tuk so it's really easy to go around. Although so close to Galle Fort, the place is super quite, perfect to have rest, enjoy sri-lankan authentic atmosphere and national food. They have an awesome common room, a reading corner and a fantastic balcony in the second floor. The sri-lankan breakfast was full and tasty. My room had everything I needed - super comfy mattress, air conditioning, fun, very good bathroom facilities and a little balcony of my own. Couldn't ask for more! The owners were very carrying. The first day when I came, I was sick so they took me to a doctor. I got better in just 1 night and enjoyed the rest of my holiday due these marvelous people. This was the best place I visited in Sri Lanka so far. If you are hesitant which residence to chose, don't hesitate any longer!I'm sure you will be thankful for my advice later, so just make sure you discover this little paradise, an authentic piece of Sri Lankan culture!

This is a REAL family stay. Lovely owners can't do enough for you. They are very proud of what they have built up with the business. Aroshina even took us shopping and her hubby (Manju) is happy to provide a great tuk tuk service as required.  Breakfast was excellent and flexible. Got our washing done as well ...  between rain showers!! It's along but pleasant walk to Fort area. Also a un-touristed Buddist temple up the street is worth a look. No restaurants nearby but a tuk tuk ride (3-5 min) fixes that.

This is my favourite place we stayed in Sri Lanka, the family were amazingly friendly and treated us like we were family. They couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast is unbeatable and I couldn’t have asked for better. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were perfect. The whole house was so clean and tidy. Just amazing! 😍

The best place to stay in Sri Lanka 

Named after the owner, Aroshina, we had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights.
We were given a cup of tea on arrival, then shown to our rooms. There were 3 in our party. All rooms are doubles with really good bathrooms & showers. The family have a tuk-tuk and Manju took us to Jungle Beach shortly after arrival for the local full moon celebrations. He later picked us up and took us back where Aroshina had cooked a fantastic meal for us. Did I mention that Aroshina did our washing?
The house is immaculate and nothing was too much trouble. We even got a lift to the train station at the end.
Please make sure you agree a price for any extras (food, washing etc) as Aroshina is very lovely, and won't ask for extra payment. They are good people, so please don't take advantage!
The house is away from a main road, so no sounds other than normal day to day life.

Excellent!

Great place owned by lovely people, about 5 minutes with tuk tuk from Galle Fort. Room is clean but fairly small, shower is nice and warm. Hairdryer is present (first time we had this in about 2 weeks Sri Lanka). Breakfast is huge and delicious. Toast, fruits and Sri Lankan specialties are all present. Great value for money location.
