We arrived late in the evening on 13 Jun and were met by Mia and another Gentleman (using a blue pen - he's since changed to black). Check-in was smooth and hassle free, zero issues with language as most staff are multi-lingual. They even offered to re-open the restaurant for us so we could eat. The foyer of the hotel and public areas were clean had more of the appearance of a 4* Hotel. The rooms and further into the hotel do give me reason as to why its in 3* though, some areas in need of minor repair. However, as we only went to our rooms to cool down and change it was was not an issue. The pool area is great and the entertainment team do run aqua aerobics and water polo throughout the week as well as other activities on the stage and around the exterior of the hotel, crazy golf, air rifle, volleyball etc. Evening entertainemt was fantastic, funny and engaging, It may not be to everyones taste, but if you kick back, let your hair down and just relax then you will enjoy it. Animacion team were fantastic, they were at home with kids and adults alike. All of them also speak multiple languages. There is a vast selection of food in the restaurant and it is laid out in a buffet style. It did get a little repetetive but each night has a theme so alongside the main staples their are foods from around the Med on offer each evening. Our main love of this hotel were the staff, too many to mention individually but of the main people I engaged with during my week, all were extremely helpful, willing to go that extra mile for you and worth their weight in gold, see below: Mia: Reception (Calm and collected, extremely helpful) Pablo: Reception (Kept calling me Mr Mark :) , always goes a step further to help) Rachel: Reception (Some of the staff say they built the hotel around her) Pablo: Bar (All 3 of the bar staff took an interest in the customers and assisted me with Spanish) Antonio: Bar Laura: Bar Alex: Animacion team leader (This chap is bonkers, great with kids, can make the ladies smile and ensures his team engage with all nationalities, not just their own) Benjamin: Animacion team ( Works from Sun-Up to Sundown, has an incredible amout of energy and you can hear his voice from the German Bar over the road). There are others in the team and all were great but I didn't get round to remembering all their names. One funny young lady though looks like Thelma from Scooby Do. A lot of the staff also socialise over the road from the hotel, where you can find everything you need, from bars, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and supermarkets. I was lucky enough to join them one night for a drink in Kleiner Hai, German Bar. All in all this is a fantastic hotel experience, made that much better by the staff.
