Marina Elite Hotel

First I was a bit stressed after reading all the reviews but turned out to be a great holiday. Reception staff was bery welcome, specially lady with the glasses on. She is very adorable and helpful. Also animator Santi knew how to get people to do games together, kids loved him. The hotel itself may need some maintenance but that doesn’t really affect holiday. The location was good with a bus stop right outside the hotel. You can go to Maspalomas or Puerto Rico, both about 30 mins away. There is a shop on site or the bigger market by the beach. Anfi beach is about 10 mins away and the walk is pleasant through the golf park. It was the closest and the nicest beach we have been on during our stay. The sand was white and soft. The food was really nice and you definitely find something for yourself. More issue with the restaurant was the spaces and there is one waitress who will be rushing you to finish and telling you off for sitting by the bigger tables even when all the smaller are occupied. That was one of the things that could put you off, luckily it’s just one person. Our room did smell on the entry but we got used to it. It was right by the pool which was very convenient for child wanting to be in water all day long. The snack bar is also next to the pool. With the bar sometimes it was hard to find staff to get a drink as they were serving themed night so had to be in two places at the same time. The view from the window was beautiful with sunset clearly visible each day. You could wear your all inclusive wrist bands until you fully left. The pool towels are £15 refundable as you return it. There is a lot of hills or stairs but lifts take you pretty much everywhere if you don’t want to walk. For the animal lovers there are few beautiful cats on site which are very clean and friendly.
