I strongly recommend this B&B lodging to anyone looking to visit Garden of Morning Calm, Nami Island, Petite France and surrounding areas in CheongPyeong or Gapyeong.

1. Location- It is just a one minute walk from Cheongpyeong station, and 3 minutes' walk to the nearest eateries and Korean style cafe/restaurants, and other convenient stalls.

For those visiting Garden of Morning Calm, you can reach the Garden via a 20 min bus ride from CheongPyeong station on the Gapyeong tourist shuttle bus. For those planning to visit Namiseom, you could take a 10-15 minute ride by Seoul metro train to Gapyeong, and thereafter, transfer to a 5-minute local bus ride (bus number 33-5) and reach the Nami Island's ferry terminal.  

Cheongpyeong itself is a quiet and scenic town, and is worth a walk in the surrounding countryside areas.

2. Service- It is one of the best B&B that I have stayed in. Although Sunny and her husband speak simple (and sometimes broken) English, they more than make up for the language barrier in terms of their friendliness, warmth and hospitality. They have gone out of their way to make the guests' stay as comfortable as possible, and they have also answered numerous of our queries prior to our Korea trip, and also extended practical help and advices during our 3D2N stay. They were also willing to adapt our morning breakfast menu to suit our dietary limitations. 

We spent 2 very nice, meaningful evenings with this lovely couple and learnt many things about traditional Korean culture, the arts and music. 

We did our booking via AirBnB. 

A must stay for anyone planning to spend a few days touring this scenic, beautiful region in South Korea.

One of the Best B&B I've Been In

The main reason I choose Joie de Vivre Guesthouse is during inquiry time the host (Sunny), she is very patient to answer my thousands question which the booking is not confirm yet. Sunny is giving me the best suggestion how to plan my trips in Cheong Pyeong. What is the attractions in Cheong Pyeong? The surrounding you can go to Nami island, Petite France, The Garden of Morning Calm , Gangchon rail bike and etc 

Joie de Vivre guesthouse is located in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. If you plan to Gapyeong, this is the best choice for you. Sunny's house is just next to Cheong Pyeong Train Station. It's just by within a min walking distance. From Cheong Pyeong station you may take a Gapyeong Shutte Bus to go around the attractions points as state as above (ex. Rail bike). If you don't speak Korean language well don't worry, Sunny's husband will bring you to take a shuttle bus :))) 

The house is really clean and comfortable. It's feel super warm when you step into the house. The bed is comfortable and the bedsheets is clean enough. For the bathroom is provided all the toiletries, hair dryer and comb. If you like the natural view, beside the house you can see the fruits, plants, vegetables which is fully take care by Sunny's husband (Mr Na). All the breakfast will make by the vegetables from their farm. And you can enjoy the fruits from their farm (*if you meet the fruits season ;p) 

For the hosts, Sunny and husband is very lovely and kind person. They treat the guests like a family member. Their service really the best. Why I say so? When I arrived in Cheong Pyeong bus terminal, Sunny they will come and pick us up in the bus terminal even the time is 8am. We can put our luggage in her house, and she prepared welcome drinks and foods for us (the taste is so yummy). And they will giving you advice and suggestions how to go the attractions points such as Nami Island. And they will send you to take the shuttle bus and ensure you get in the right bus. The next morning breakfast is served! Even we need to check out in 7am. I'm surely will back to this guesthouse again!

Highly recommended if you are planning to Cheong Pyeong/Gapyeong area. Beside the service, the location is great too. Easy access to all the attractions.
