Excellent. We could not have even imagined how great the trip was. A first trip to Africa for 1 of the party, who was blown away as to the service, sites, attention to detail and friendliness of the staff.The tour guide was unbelievably good and knowledgable. It was a real winner

Bush trip

What a wonderful 2 nights at Jamila Lodge - the setting, scenery, staff, service and game-viewing were all top-notch! We had sent in dietary requirements prior to our arrival, and were greeted by a delicious vegetarian lunch as requested. The chef then came out to us to discuss our dietary requirements in person, and make sure that he accommodated our needs during our stay. The food was so tasty and beautifully presented at all meals, and the staff were friendly and helpful, and did everything they could to make us comfortable, while at the same time ensuring that they were never too present. We saw so much game on each drive, and Justinus was a font of information - making each sighting so much more special as we learnt about the habits and facts of each animal. He was never in a rush to get back to the lodge, giving us enough time at each sighting, and making sure that we got to see whatever we could during each drive.
The one small thing that could be changed is that the water in the room is not drinkable due to it being sourced from a septic tank), but they charge you for the water in the fridge in the room.I think that the water should be free, or that at least 1 bottle per person per day is provided. Water is provided at all meals, but should also be provided in the room.

A fantastic weekend

Me and my wife visited Jamila over the weekend and had a great time.Everything about Jamila is outstanding.The food and service is awesome. The waterhole in front of the deck is very special with all kind of animals visiting there through out the day. I highly recommend Jamila Game Lodge!

Awesome weekend at Jamila

What a difference. The lodge has been completely transformed by Mark and Carol. I can not recommend Jamila enough. The staff go out of their way to look after you. The food is absolutely delicious. The game drives never failed to please us. We spent two of our night on the outdoor star bed, (in honeymoon suite) which was a sensory delight, and soul food for the mind and body. Listening to the sounds of the night and watching the stars. During the day after the morning drive and breakfast, we sat at the pool overlooking  the waterhole having back neck and foot massages. Before the afternoon game drive to watch the sunset. 
Thank you Jamila. What a wonderful break!  


Luxury stay

The spectacular view of the watering hole allowed for wondrous scenes of elephants coming to play in the water and the hyena popping in for a quick drink before he disappeared back into the bush. These were just some of the phenomenal views we had on this wonderful weekend getaway. The staff were truly amazing and warm and always made us feel so incredibly welcome.The tour guide made the safari’s truly spectacular and memorable and insightful. Wow wow wow.
It was the most magnificent weekend at Jamila Lodge. 
It was an experience that will stay with us forever.

Magnificent Getaway at Jamila Lodge

Food was very good, staff was nice and the only big five animal we didn't see was leopard. The drives we're longer than three hours and the ranger told a lot about the environment and animals. We also saw a lot of animals between game drives right from our room!

We spent a weekend at Jamila and enjoyed every second of it! The lodge is beautiful, luxurious, well appointed and so well maintained. The staff is amazing and go above and beyond to make all the guests as comfortable as possible. Tanash catered specially for my dietary requirements and the food was delicious. Frans is a great field guide and went to great lengths to take us to see cheetah and lions,among many other animals. I would recommend Jamila Lodge to anyone looking for a luxurious, indulgent breakaway in our beautiful Bushveld.

We only spent a night here but enjoyed every moment.  Delicious food, luxurious accommodation and we saw very many wild animals on our drive and at the waterhole close to the dining area.We highly recommend this Lodge.

Well appointed property with a healthy dose of friendly visits from animals all day long. Hospitality and service were great. Very good food and enjoyable game drives.
