A home away from home!!!
My friends and I booked our holiday at Dolphin Crest Guesthouse this pass weekend and were amazed with the excellent service we received due to the reviews we have read. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast was tasty. The rooms were beautiful. Very impressed with this place. My friends and I were actually sad to leave and will be back soon.

Beautiful Holiday!

Great place to stay near a secluded beach. Situated near Virginia Airport so can be distracting at first, but the beach will soon make you forget about it. Their breakfast could be changed every other day, but still filling after the meal. A revamp should be on the cards as it could get better, but still great to stay at.

Place of leisure

had to attend a wedding in dbn and stayed at dolphin crest. we literally just used it to sleep and shower as we were out most of the day.
its a beautiful place, peaceful, although the stairs are a little scary esp with little kids and high heels..
food was average, first indian aunty I've discovered that doesnt know how to braise baked beans in an indian way.
but.. we were not there for the food... 
the great part about walking into our room was the discovery of a fridge! You'll know if u r travelling with kids, a fridge is very helpful.

basic accommodation, good enough for a quick trip

We went on holiday from Jhb to Dbn in December 2016
This was the worse place we've ever stayed at.
The bed linen were filthy.
The white towels were in the room when we arrived but there were brown marks all over it. The beddings smelled old and dirty.
We chose the breakfast option but when my husband went into the communal kitchen on the first night there were cockroaches running from every corner into every corner.
We declined the breakfast and the 'Secretary/ Manager' a girl named Shivani told me that her bosses wife was in the hospital and when hes back from there he will refund me for the breakfast. It was my husband, my daughter and I.
They kept telling us that they will refund us the next day, the next day never came.
We couldn't stay another day at that place   . We left before our booking time. They refused to refund us although we were leaving due to unlivable  conditions.
The cleaning ladies would clean the room but leave the same old dirty towels to be used again and the beddings were not changed once. 
The only good thing about that place was that the shower was very spacious.
Another lady also arrived from Limpopo..looked at the condition of the place and left immediately with her son .
The secretary told me that the place was for sale.
I informed her that i was going to expose them for the thieves they were.
We saw the owner late one night going into the kitchen, he greeted us briefly and continued as a guest, we only realised after we left that he was the owner. 
To this day, 3 years later, they still owe me R 800.
I would not stay there even for free.
Shivani would remember me very well.

They should have been forcefully shut down for unhygienic purposes

We had initially booked for African Dreamz, then we were told that there was no electricity so we would be arranged into another bnb in the area.
The initial exterior is deceiving, looks clean and classy and the problem is when you enter the rooms. The bedding (duvet cover), towels and the actual room are not clean. There are no additional blankets, we were told to use the aircon to keep warm. There is no TV or radio, or bin for the dirt or working side lamps, there isn't even an extractor fan in the bathroom or smoke detectors in the rooms and our own room smelled of smoke and had ash in the wardrobe. We were basically told that we should have brought our own stuff because the place is being sold and the owner doesn't have anything on the premises. 
This bnb actually looks like someone's house with en suites and they tried to convert it for business premises. It is the worst looking place, if you are trying to relax on holiday, this is not the place as it is only convenient for the shower. 
This place looks and feels spooky and should actually be a backpackers inn. You can actually hear your neighbours laughing downstairs, never mind next door. 
The owners of African Dreamz did not even check on our stay or how we were treated, which actually made us think that they are all working together, advertising one place to actually give the client's to the next and actually hope that you can be so unhappy and leave. Our thinking was that these 2 premises are owned by the same person whom owns 4 bnb's and  is trying to sell them. 

If you have any plans staying indoors, don't visit this place, if you just want a shower, maybe.

Spookhouse

The worst place ever, .cockroaches around, the service is pathetic never mind the breakfast, 
you will go better with  a packet of chips ,very poor admin and management  avoid the place !! it  is on sale.
