Calling this place a Lodge is like saying mud is chocolate. The marketing photo's does not tell the real story. I have stayed in places at a third of the price which is cleaner, better maintained, and equipped than this. One will be hard pressed to discern a towel from a floor mat. They are threadbare and dirty. I had to clean the mould fungi out of the shower myself using disinfectant; no brush available to scrub it when requested, The building is in disrepair and fittings are falling apart in places, "maintenance" is just a word somewhere in a dictionary. The breakfast and the room it is served in is a joke. The list is long and reads like a horror movie.
 My advice, steer way clear .You have been warned...this is currently a dump.

Disrepair, dirty and totally overpriced.

We had no notice of loadshedding schedule. The place is run down and towels are grubby. Other guests walk around in their pyjamas while we’re sitting outside. We asked for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich just to be told they have to go to the shop and buy. Will never stay there again. Shocking 

Shocking accommodation 

Certainly looks nicer in the pictures than it is.  
The linen was dirty in both rooms as were the towels.  
neither room had hot water.  Very shabby indeed, we will never use this place again.  Think the owner left someone to look after it and has forgotten about it.  Dirty Sheets, come one guys this is 2021 after the loss of business due to the pandemic you would think people would be on point to get business and people back.  We didnt expect the Ritz but we do expect clean sheets and towels.  We will not be back thats for sure

Dont judge the place on its pictures

We needed one night's accommodation in Shelly Beach and we happened to come across Shelly Beach Lodge on line. We know Shelly Beach very well but had never heard of Shelly Beach Lodge. We were very pleasantly surprised - ample secure parking, spotless room with all amenities, friendly helpful staff and an excellent breakfast which can be ordered in advance. All in all a great experience and we would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable accommodation in the heart of Shelly Beach

A nice Bed and Breakfast. Room basic but comfortable.  The breakfast is being prepared by the friendly hostess Martie. And you have quite a variety to choose from. Venue is very centrally situated and also just a short walk to the mall or the Ski boat club. Good value for money.
