Stayed over for one night during a business trip. The host showed me around and told me about the history of the school. I stayed over in the double room which was the old slave kitchen. It has a nice fireplace between the lounge area and the room. Please note there are no TV or aircon in the room. The minibar is nice and welcome if you're looking for a quick drink or snack. I also visited the historic graveyard on the property. If you love Afrikaans history, you need to come to this establishment. Breakfast was also very good the next morning.

Beautiful place with lots of history

This Guest Farm is breathtakingly beautiful.  The buildings are beautiful and well-maintained.  The adjacent cemetery is a very interesting place to visit, but be sure to ask Francois to accompany you to share all his many interesting stories.  The food was lovely  and the service was friendly and efficient. The rooms are really spacious and the family room in the Malherbe house comes highly recommended for parents with children. This is a lovely place to stay-over in the winelands!

A rich history in a beautiful setting!

We stayed on this farm because it was on the Wellington Wine Walk.
This is really a place full of Afrikaans history. Every proud Afrikaans person in SA should visit it. Here is where the first Afrikaans was documented.
The accomodation is in the original school.
The meal we enjoyed was a very traditional Afrikaans one and if possible request it. It was amazing.
A really enjoyable stay.

A piece of Afrikaans history

We stayed in the old school house. The food was lovely and the area is truly beautiful, but the best part was the staff. Amazing people... We loved it and we are in the hospitality business. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the fire and wine. We also had a lovely breakfast. A beautiful old farm in a beautiful part of south africa.

Great Stay with wonderful staff

Very nice stay at Augusta Kleinbosch Guest Farm.  The rooms are exceptionally nice, spacious and with a fireplace.  Breakfast was great and the area is spectacularly beautiful.  Paarl is very nice,  good restaurants.  Wine tasting nearby which is a very inexpensive entertainment.  Excellent hiking in the area.
