We were completely blown away by this experience. Every detail was so well thought out. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, the property was beautiful, and the small group setting made everyone feel like family. This is an incredible experience for anyone looking to unplug from everyday life and experience Kruger in a more authentic and personal way. 

Incredible getaway

We had an incredible stay at Rhino Plains Camp. The accommodation is beautiful, cozy, and has great views. The staff members are kind and friendly, and they definitely made our experience memorable. We enjoyed the walking safari and the delicious freshly cooked meals. I don't think anything can beat this place and its people.

Incredible stay and amazing staff

I spent an incredible 3 nights at the Rhino Plains Camp and thoroughly enjoyed every minute -

- the staff made the experience very special- James the guide and Orens the tracker are passionate about the bush and highly professional in all aspects of the bush walking experience.  

They made the bush come alive with their detailed knowledge of the flora and fauna and I was excited to be tracking elephants, buffalo and rhino confident that I was in safe hands.

The drives to and from the chosen bush walking location were always fun and rewarding with animal sightings at every turn- the night drives in particular provided amazing sightings- such as coming across a herd of over 100 buffalos and a group hyenas on the road.

The meals at the camp were delicious and of a fine dining standard - I already miss the freshly baked bread and muffins and the fresh omelette at brunch prepared by the friendly team at the camp.

The accommodation is in a luxury tents that is very comfortable and functional- it is hard to believe you are in a remote bush camp. 

The standout for me was the last night sleeping out under the stars-- it was more like a tree house experience with comfortable bedding and a tasty BBQ/braai dinner in a beautiful setting overlooking a river bed.

Anyone of average fitness can do the walks as they are not a forced march but rather a tailored meander through the bush.

Overall a faultless experience , although I am sure first time visitors would benefit from a dedicated check in for the plains camp rather than being checked in by the safari lodge.

Outstanding luxury bush walking experience- highly recommended

We did safari rides as well as safari walking trip… and it’s worth saying that I’d recommend doing both.  In a vehicle you see more animals and can get closer. Safari walking tours, you are following guides as they track and are more enveloped in the environment.  Personally if I had to choose one, I’d say do the walking. Your feel more a part of nature rather than an observer.   Rooms/tents here were great, all staff was great and I was very comfortable.  The food was delicious.  

Amazing experience.

Not just the hosting in those fantastic tents or the wonderful food or the lovely staff made it worth coming but being outside on your own feet and watching the animals is an one in a million experience

Unforgettable

What an incredible experience! We come regularly to visit the Kruger-nationalpark, but our 3-nights-stay at Rhino Walking Safaris was the best experience we ever had. The camp ist beautifully situated in the middle of the bush, with all the comfort you need, but in total respect for the nature around. 
The service was excellent in every way- from delicious food to the organization of the day- everything was perfect for us. But the best thing, of course, where the morning- and evening walks with our two guides Darryl and Orens. We learned a lot about animals, plants and we were lucky to see many of them: from buffalos to lions, elephants, hyenas or even wild dogs, an black rhino and a serval - it was amazing! And we always felt save. Thanks again to our guides.

Rhino Post has an amazing location for game drives and the staff were attentive. I highly recommend this lodge!

If you have the opportunity to stay here - go fir it. It was the highlight of our South Africa trip. The team was exceptional in their work, but what made it special was that they really made us feel at home. The food was the best we had in South Africa and the experience of sleeping in these luxurious tents was something else as well. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us!

If you’re looking for a great overall experience and the chance to see the nature of South Africa not only from the top of a car, this is the perfect place for it. 

An amazing experience

This is the place to stay, in the park versus having to drive in and out everyday.  Staying in a luxurious tent watching elephants and hyenas walking by, 5 star dining, amazing waking safaries tracking rhinos, hippos, this is the way to do a safari.  The evening drives combine perfectly with the walks, seeing every animal you could wish for and ending with sun downers in the most beautiful settings.  Highly recommend!!!

This Is The Way To See Kruger

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Rhino Post Safari Lodge.  Our guide, Vusi, was very fun and knowledgable and made sure we saw everything we wanted.  The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was endless and delicious.  We did the sleep out and this was a great experience
