Do not book Knysna Herons Guest House.  They are uncontactable on the Knysna landline and Mandy Engelbrecht who allegedly used to be the manager sent me a Whatsapp advising that she is in the UK and that the Guesthouse has closed down.  That has not however stopped them from taking a deposit.  

Knysna Herons Guest House closed 

My fiancee and I traveled to Knysna for her birthday weekend and had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Knysna Herons. The staff are all really friendly with nothing being too much trouble for them.

Great stay at Knysna Herons

Peaceful stay and centrally located to the town and Knysna Heads. Ideally located just outside the town off the road to the Heads with tranquil surrounding. Restaurants easily accessible and self catering available.

Firstly linen was not changed for the duration of our stay. The room was full of bugs and mosquitoes and wi-fi not working at all despite the manager frantically trying his best and we were not the only people affected by this. We tried to go to another room and the which was an option for us had broken door handles. It was a joke
Non the less we enjoyed knysna.

Not impressive

We had a great stay in Knsysn Herons Guest house. The staff is very helpful and supportive. The rooms are silent and the surrounding is safe. We really liked the breakfast and especially the fried eggs.

Nice stay

For starters a chair was broken in the lounge part which almost caused a lot of problems.For seconds the shower was dirty.For third the pool was so dirty one would not like to swim in that.To top it all we were left completely on our own. No one around.

Staff 10 out of 10 these peop work hard to see to every need of every client... The cleanliness is above norm not to mention the calamity this place brings this is worth every penny spent here... You feel at home Markus the manager goes to great lenghts to ensure my stay and what I could see all the guests are kept happy always smiling and always cheerful a self catering place with staff is a gift this is a fairytale with superior leadership

The best place to stay in capetown

We booked a b&b per the promotion but were told on arrival it was bed only.  Manager did provide breakfast on first morning.  Bed was awful, manager claimed it had new matress but it was very obviously not.  Room lighting was poor, not possible to read by it. Very noisy due to many barking dogs and large bus engine started up at about 3:30 am close by.. At least the toilet facilities were acceptable but the sliding door came off rail. Fridge froze all food solid overnight. They did change our frozen fruit salad though.Huge and dangerous step up to access room.

A Definite Dissappointment.

Knysna is always worth a visit.Herons Guest House was a perfect, private and peaceful place to rest our heads.
