We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at the breathtaking Franschoek Manor. From the first time I’ve seen Franschoek Manor I completely fell in love with it. Christina Schallhorn made it possible for us to have our most beautiful and perfect wedding day at her Manor.

Christina and Cindy is by far the best of the bests when it comes to hosting you. We were super spoiled and our day was more perfect and more beautiful than we ever imagined.

To Christina and Cindy a very very BIG thank you for all your effort and spoils we truly appreciate your wonderful and unforgettable hospitality. 

This little piece of heaven will forever be in our hearts and we will forever treasure our special day!

Franschoek Manor ~ Our Little piece of heaven

The Franschhoek Manor has a distinct personality which can be accredited to the hearts and souls of a wonderful team; who's genuine passion and dedication is felt in every fibre of the whole organisation. 

I have had 13 years of experience, working with a wonderful chain of Boutique Hotels, and there is not one thing that I could recommend to improve this Boutique experience. It is clear that every detail has already been thought of.

Christina is the mastermind behind this magical manor. Her heart is entrenched in the essence of the experience. Her team are an extension of her excellence.

The privacy, location, silent tranquility and the perfume of the flowers in the air make for a wonderful arrival. The garden is a sanctuary, a huge wonderland of colourful eye candy.

Every detail is accounted for; I love the capsule coffee machine in the room. The class and culture in the room decor; the size. I had the 'Black Room', I felt as if I'd stepped into another era.  There were two garden patios to choose from! The bed , the little chocolates, the port.  
The property is kept in immaculate condition. Christinas' elegance radiates throughout, creating an ambience that is complimented by her team.

Cindy hosted breakfast for us, and prepared eggs benedict, with the best Hollandaise sauce I've ever tasted.  It was a sunny breakfast on the patio, with beautiful garden and mountain views. There is also a little river running by, at the bottom of the garden, with a big swing and willow trees. Perfect fairy -tale wedding location.  Cindy  is an incredible person to have a conversation with. 
 
There is simply too much to say about this experience, I will definitely return. My stay was short and sweet, but this place is so wonderful, I could retreat here forever and a day.   I have included some photos.

Magical Manor !

Christina, Cindy and all the staff at Franschhoek Manor are truly wonderful, attentive and as ever, made our stay so very special. The house is stunning and so calm and we always come away from there wishing we could stay longer.   I tell all my friends to stay at FM and enjoy the very best of hospitality from the team. It is the loveliest place in the valley. We will be back soon.

Just seven rooms all individually decorated and situated at a wonderful location. What else do you need? The garden is outstanding providing 'hidden' seating places for the guests. You simply feel at home. In addition, the pool is big and always invites for a good swim.

Franschoek Manor is nicely decorated and the staff always attentive and friendly (especially at breakfast times)!

So, if there is anything we can complain of is probably the attitude which is (sometimes) shown, if you require something on top of the 'normal' service. Though you will get it at the end of the day, you may have to argue / be a bit persistent about it. Just an observation...

In conclusion, a wonderful and tranquil place - we will come back.

Truly enjoyed our two nights stay at this beautiful place. Well designed and maintained garden, tastefully decorated rooms, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast. What more we could ask for! Highly recommend and will come back for longer stay!

Perfect place to relax

Franschhoek Manor is a perfect place to stay to enjoy the Franschhoek Valley. This lovely place is so well run by Christina and her staff, with beautifully decorated rooms and a stunning garden and pool. We will definitely return ! 

A perfect place

We were very pleased to return for our 3rd visit in 4 years since a friend recommended this sublime place. I am just repeating my previous reviews when I say how attractive and peaceful it is. Great rooms, great breakfasts and handy shuttles. The gardens appeared even better tended than before. Christina and all her staff (led by Cindy) make sure your stay is perfect. We very much look forward to our next visit.

As Excellent As Ever

This was our fourth time at Franschhoek Manor and almost every other guest in this stunning 6 bedroom oasis had also previously stayed there. It’s one of our favourite places in the world , the view around the pool and from the covered seating area is magnificent and every time we’ve been here all the guests rave about it. Christina and Cindy are a great team and provide outstanding friendly and discreet service. The short walk into town is lovely, passing Mont Rochelle whilst walking beside vineyards and the evening shuttle taxi to and from restaurants is a real bonus. Breakfast is delicious and there’s a very sociable feel about the place whist offering peace and quiet too.

Another fantastic stay in this beautiful setting

We recently stayed at the Fraschhoek Manor for a weekend and it was just amazing. We stayed in the Blue Room which is stunning, well appointed and the little extras really made it an extra special stay. From the chocolates, chilled bottle of Rosè in the fridge to the delicious espresso we were pampered from morning to night. 

The pool area is stunning, quiet and relaxing and the staff are friendly and attentive to every guest's needs. I have to add a little extra note - on our last morning, we had breakfast at the Manor and i enjoyed quite possibly THE best poached eggs I have ever had in my life! If you have the opportunity, ask for Cindy's poached eggs and enjoy perfection on a plate.
