Nice and quiet place approx. 5 minutes far away from the center of the town (by car, its not recommended to walk, especially in the evening, because there are no lights one the street). The place is clean and offers a pool, small damm and a tennis court , everything surrounded by beautiful vineyard. The rooms are not the newest ones, but still ok. I would recommend to buy new mattresses, because the current ones are no more comfortable.

Good location for exploring the wineries in the Franschhoek valley

We stayed four nights in one of the cottages. Fully enjoyed our visit and would return again. Very friendly and relaxed environment. Quality of breakfast was good. We did not have a car and found getting around by ride service straightforward and reliable despite location away from downtown.

Relaxing with Helpful Staff

We stayed here for 2 nights as a special treat. Ronel, the manageress was very helpful from the outset and this continued throughout our stay. Ronel is lovely, always smiling, always helpful and almost always present. She made a dinner booking for us and was very interested in our feedback the following morning. That personal attention was really special.
The price is very reasonable for what this vineyard hotel has to offer.
It is located just a few minutes from the center of Franschhoek, it's quiet and peaceful, it has a garden, a pool, a lake and a few mules.
The breakfast was good and the staff attentive.
The room we stayed in was very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and we will cherish the memories we made. We will definitely be back next time we are in Franschhoek!

Wonderful short stay

Our family stayed in the 3 cottages (Toffee, Appels and Acorn) for the weekend. Ronel was friendly, helpful and efficient with booking arrangements, cottages spotlessly clean with everything you need (lovely towels, linen etc), beautiful views, peaceful surrounds. Lovely for kids with access to pool, tennis court, dam and open lawns. Lots of exploring for young kids to do - donkeys and chickens too! Loved all the owners rescue dogs! A highlight was breakfast - not fancy (thank goodness) but thoughtfully laid out and prepared just as you like it. What a treat! And sensible as very little food wasted. Staff discrete and lovely. This is a remarkably good value stay, highly recommended for travelers who are ‘over’ all the unnecessary trimmings (earbuds/silly soaps/milk sachets etc!) and just want quality accommodation and service.

Family weekend away

Spent 3 nights at this delightful guesthouse. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Lovely views and beautiful lake on the property. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were exceptional. Will definitely go there again.

Visited with family. Recommend staying in the 2 Bedroom cottage. Very comfortable for 4 adults, cozy fireplace, well equiped. Two cottages stand alongside each other with good views of farms and surrounsing mountains with stunning sunset.

Beautiful Farm Setting

Just outside the village of Franschoek is this beautiful estate with accommodation. You meander down a lane of trees to your free standing cottage with two ensuite bedrooms, a spacious kitchen/lounge area. Everything clean and well kept.  On the estate is a beautiful dam with the Frranschoek mountains as backdrop, a photographers dream.  The breakfast was very good and tje service very efficient and friendly. Higly recommend this place if you need tranquility and space.

SAFE, QUIET, CLEAN, SPACIOUS

Even before we arrived, we received a lovely message from Ronel, the manageress. This immediately made us feel welcome and well disposed towards the hotel we were driving to.
And, this is how we felt throughout our stay. Ronel is amazing; always with a smile, always helpful and almost always present. How important this is in any establishment! That personal attention makes such a difference.
As the review title says, we booked for 2 nights , but, then we kept extending our stay because we were really happy.
Considering how expensive all hotels are in Franschhoek, this is really an amazing find. The price is so reasonable for what this vineyard hotel has to offer.

The breakfast is delicious. The staff caring and Ronel could not be better.
And, both rooms we stayed in were very comfortable. If there is one constructive criticism that I could make , it is that a few details...like the bedside tables....should be looked into.
Other than that, we are so happy with our stay, we cherish the memories and we will definitely be back next time we are in Franschhoek.....my favourite place. So classy and pretty.

'Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 9!!'

We stayed at a lovely farmstead at the head of the valley. Quiet and peaceful with spacious rooms. A lovely garden and pool to relax by with views of mountains all around. Great breakfast of locally sourced fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast to order in a portion size suitable for hot weather and leaving room for home made granola and toast. Tennis court with raquets for the keen . Reception endlessly helpful with requests for reservations at nearby eateries and wineries.

Winelands gem in South Africa

My daughter and I stayed here on 29 Dec for the night. The first off putting thing was the humungous giraffe in the vineyards-a bit out of place I'd say...
 For R2000 for the room and breakfast we expected a bit more than the upstairs loft reached by outside steel stairs, and the old fashioned furniture inside. The bathroom wasn't clean, and very old. Wi-fi was ridiculous-never worked. After arrival we lay at the pool to listen to two hours of screaming by the kids and family next door who's pool is a couple of metres from the pool of the hotel. Breakfast was served in a 'sort of dining-room'-some tables actually in the entrance hall. We skipped this although had paid for it as the setting was really un-lovely. No-one ever asked if we were comfortable, happy with our stay-nothing. Really cant recommend this place-totally uncharming-rather spend your money elsewhere.
