Lovely place with very friendly, hospitable staff (Barbora very polite and always smiling, and Michal ever so helpful and with very good English). We were allocated a beautiful room on the top floor. The buffet breakfast was very good and included scrambled eggs or omelette with ham and sausage, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, cake and fruit. It was served in a beautiful room. 

We enjoyed our stay at Vila Magnolia very much, especially since it is situated in a quiet area (you could only hear the birds singing), yet within walking distance to the centre and all the restaurants and cafes. The outdoor seating area was very nice. You could chill there with a drink after a long day out. Pity they don't serve dinner!

We were sorry that we did not realize that the Spa was indeed on the premises (there was no sign showing where it was). 

We will definitely stay there again when we visit Banska Stiavnica again. Thank you!

Great place with hospitable staff, beautiful rooms and excellent breakfast in a quiet area near the center

I was around in Slovakia without plans and so i decided to visit Banska Štiavnica, i needed an accommodation and so i decided to reserve one room for one night in this place. No seen photos and nothing i'll reach the place and i was really happy of what i decided.
The Reception was really beautiful, and the personal super! This two girls spoken a really good english and i hadn't problem with nothing (I'm really poor in slovak language), also i was alone and i would to talk with someone and everybody was really nice with me.
The day after i met one guy in the reception and also was super, perfect english, really nice with me and also had explained very good what i could do in B. Štiavnica.

For sure i will come back there

Really good!

This is a lovely accommodation that offers both rooms and apartments. The apartments are on the lower floors and the smaller rooms above via stairs. The apartment we were in had high painted ceilings in the living room with hand painted trim in the bedroom as well. We also had a nice size bathroom with a tub and a small kitchenette area.  On a sunny day, you could enjoy sitting in their gardens.  It is helpful to have a GPS system to help you find Vila Magnolia. It sits a little above the town center and is within walking distance if you don't mind going up and down a short but steep grade. The owner speaks English very well and is very accommodating.  I would recommend.

A little hard to find, but worth the effort

What a great place ! So beautiful 
Staff is welcoming, the place itself is gorgeous, rooms are beautiful and location is good. Breakfast is nothing to brag about, but quite good. 
And unlike most places in Slovakia, good English is spoken by the owner.

We were very impressed by this vila.

Very clean, friendly, good location..it is very romantic place, for pairs, but it is lso suitable for family with small children.

Banska Stiavnica has recently changed due to a large number of tourists, while unfortunately many tourism service providers (restaurants, gift shops) want to exploit this trend and overprice low-quality products - thus when choosing accomodation we were very careful and Magnolia was a great choice!

Very nice building, renovated old "vila". The owner and personnel was very nice and friendly. I came to the restaurant at midnight after closing hours and owner happily served me some midnight snacks :)

We felt only two pitfalls. Firstly, the room was quite cold and it took a few hours to warm it up after we came. Secondly, if you arrive during a winter, getting to the parking of this facility can be quite hard as there is huge short uphill which can be a bit slipepry.
