Crowne Plaza Changi Airport by IHG

We stayed at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport for a layover night before our long-haul flight home, and it turned out to be the most elevated version of a transit stay one could ask for. From the moment we arrived, the experience was smooth and genuinely welcoming. A special mention goes to Demir at the front desk—warm, attentive, and proactive, he truly went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His professionalism and friendliness stood out, and he is a perfect example of what excellent front desk service should look like. Our room with runway view was not only spacious and quiet, but also well soundproofed, which meant we could enjoy the spectacular view from the higher floor without sacrificing sleep. Watching planes glide across the tarmac from the comfort of a stylish, well-appointed room was an unexpectedly soothing experience. The hotel’s proximity to both the airport and Jewel Changi made everything remarkably convenient. Within minutes, we were exploring the rain vortex, browsing shops, and enjoying a leisurely final day in Singapore—without the stress of taxis, transfers, or time constraints. And then, there’s the pool—an unexpectedly lush and artfully designed sanctuary. Surrounded by palms and tropical plants, it felt like a secret garden hidden above the terminals. The water was a bit chilly for my taste, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the atmosphere and snapping more than a few photos. Breakfast the next morning was just what we needed before a long flight: varied, fresh, and delicious, with plenty of options for every preference. The coffee was strong and excellent. In summary, Crowne Plaza Changi delivers much more than you’d expect from an “airport hotel.” It’s a comfortable, quiet, and surprisingly elegant retreat, with outstanding service and thoughtful amenities. We’d gladly return—even if we weren’t catching a flight.
