We stayed for 4 days for hajj in 2014.

The decor of the hotel is good, although dated in parts there aesthetics are welcoming and homely.

There was a slight issue with the start up time for the aircon etc taking a few minutes (not great after coming back from sweltering heat outside), but an extra key permanently stored in the key slot resolved this issue.

Wifi was a little slow compared to UK standard but readily available throughout the hotel

The location of the hotel is good, there are a few small shops  and a a market stall nearby, the prices are generally less and more open for negotiation that those shops located on the north side of the mosque. The walk to the mosque in peak time hajj was c. 7 minutes or so, there are a few different routes you can take to get to the older part of the mosque or the womens section. 

Finally. we had half board basis. the food was good although it did get repetitive at times, there was a good range and selection of dishes, salad and dessert that would satisfy most people.

Hajj stay 2014

We stayed at this hotel for three nights.
The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, where you go through street markets that sell different items including foot-wears, cotton pajamas and other cotton cloths, rosaries, and other items and accessories.

The room was small, but had big comfortable beds. Our room (105) was viewing the area in front of the hotel; I think if it was one or two rooms to right (rooms 103 or 104) we would have a good view of Masjid Al-Nabawi minarets.   

On arrival, we found a plumbing problem in the bathroom, we called maintenance that fixed it and changed a light bulb at the room. Later on we asked the receptionist to send someone to open the safe for us (it was locked) but he never did. 
The room service always missed somethings after cleaning the room, once they took the wet bath towels and change them with small facial towels, another time they did not re-fill the soap and shampoo vials, etc., but as we asked them they immediately bring us the missing items. 

The room was not very clean as we checked in; the carpet was not vacuumed at all. We asked them to clean it but it was left as is to the next morning. The other annoying thing was the room service personnel who kept knocking at the door to clean the room while we were having a rest before noon (the room has a “make up” sign that was OFF at that time).

Free WI-FI was available all over the hotel, in fact I was able to connect to internet from the street as coming closer to the hotel.

In conclusion, it was a comfortable stay, people are very nice, and yes I might go back to this hotel in another visit to Medinah.

Good choice

- Checking in was smooth 
- We had a triple room with one of the bed feels like a rock to sleep on. After the first night, I spoke to management about it and they sent me grumpiest guy ever to change it. 
- Room service is dreadful to respond to anything. It just takes them ages and many calls to address an issue. 
- The internet didn’t work and when I spoke to the management, they said there is some issue with the WiFi and it would be fixed soon. Guess what? it never got fixed until we left. They promote themselves everywhere as they have a free WiFi internet. 
- Parking was always available in the street at the front of the building. 
- I asked for an iron and got the dirtiest and most outdated iron you could possibly find in a hotel that is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, as if they could buy steam iron to go with their rank a 4 star hotel. 
- The room was on the not so spacious side. 
- Breakfast was pretty much the same everyday and wasn’t so bad.  
- It is actually quite a walk to the mosque specially when you have kids or seniors 
- Next time I would pay a little extra just to be closer and have a better service and sleep quality 
- Not recommended

Terrible Management - No internet during whole stay

We stayed at this hotel in December, the Umrah season had only just started, so it was pretty quiet everywhere. I think this was reflected by the poor service. Despite booking with agoda, the hotel said they had not received notification of the booking, because the person responsible for reservations was not working. It took more than an hour for this to be rectified. 

The rooms were clean, and comfortable, but the bath was old, and the water cold. Somebody came to "fix" the shower 3 times, but to no avail. Despite the fact the hotel was empty they were reluctant to allow us to swap rooms (eventually we did change rooms- after they spent more than 30 minutes trying to find a room with hot water)
Because it was an off peak season, there was no buffet breakfast. Instead they would send breakfast up every morning, which was overall, pretty good. 
We did order from the A la carte menu, but found their food overpriced, and disappointing

The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the mosque, but to get the the "Rawdhah" takes a lot longer, maybe 15 minutes

Overall, I was very disappointed by my stay at this hotel

Good price, good location, but downhill after that

I booked a triple room for 4 days at this hotel for Umrah with Travel house agency -Jordan.
We arrived at the hotel after the check -in hour ( around 16.30) to learn that they don't have triple rooms.
We had to wait in the lobby for more than one hour& half in order for our room to be prepared: they put a 3rd bed in a room for 2 !!!!! We hardly could move in the room.
The room had a view at the back of the hotel and I will post a photo to show that our view was the garbage at the back of the hotel.
We went after the long waiting in the room to see that the sheets haven't been changed.
We had to ask room service to bring clean sheets and towels.
In a triple room there were only 2 coffee cups and 2 glasses.
We had to ask again for extra cup and glass.
The glasses and cups were so dirty that we went to a supermarket and bought dish-washing detergent in order to be able to use them.
They didn't clean the room the next day, so we had to supervise them doing the cleaning.We had to call room service all the time in order to finish cleaning.
The breakfast is very poor.But the worse than that is the fact that the staff doesn't clean the tables after the guests leave;we asked them to clean the table in order to be able to sit for breakfast and the staff invariably will wipe the rests of food on the floor !!!
All the dinning room is full of food on the floor.
The internet in the hotel is very bad; we couldn't go online because the connection was extremely slow.
The towels have such a bad color that we used our own towels.
The laundry rope was torn.
The location is good but there are plenty of good hotels in the same area; we preferred to go for lunch and dinner at Moevenpick Hotel , where we  had really decent meals in a very clean restaurant.
I don't recommend this hotel to anyone and I am sorry that my 1st visit to Medineh was spoiled by the stay in such a bad hotel.
