I stayed there for a weekend. On the first night I came across a big black cockroach in the bathroom. I told the receptionist about this the next day but I was treated with a very unprofessional and nonchalant attitude. They didn’t offer me another room or any discount. They didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience. Their solution was to use a spray against cockroaches in the bathroom. However they sprayed in my neighbours room (who I traveled with) instead of mine but didn’t want to admit any wrongdoing when confronted with this. 
The cleanliness in the room was poor to say the least. I found spiderwebs in both bathroom and bedroom and even a used sock that didn’t belong to me. I wrote everything on their review form but they didn’t even looked at it when I checked out. They haven’t contacted me afterwards either although they had my phone number and email address.

The only good thing I have to say about the place is the restaurant. The staff, especially waitress Petruța (the 2 stars are only because of her), the food, the drinks and the atmosphere was wonderful.

DON’T recommend the hotel BUT recommend the restaurant

New Year celebrations at Hotel Dobru means:  great atmosphere, absolutely amazing and diverse food, live music and lots of events to keep guests entertained; lovely hosts and staff always friendly and helpful! 
Highly recommended!

Tastefull food and nice arranged in the dish. Quality services, waiters who know their job. I recommend soup of cow, pastrama and sausages, hribi food with sour cream, C Cappuccino Pancakes with nuts .Come back with pleasure.

Good Restaurant

Went here with my boyfriend and friends and do not rate the place. I was pleased to see the menu had English in it however the waitress who served us who assuming she would speak English did not have a clue what I said and referred to my boyfriend who is Romanian and then continued to speak to me in Romanian when clearly I’m English! Then everyone got their drinks except me and I had to wait 5 minutes for mine to arrive. The place did not seem busy however had to wait an hour and over for my spaghetti carbornora which in fairness was nice but I would not have waited that long if I had known. My boyfriends chips were rock hard with his chicken wings. The waitress did not seem friendly at all would not have hurt her to crack a smile. Would not come back here again 

“Quick” pitstop

Hard to reach the hotel, roads are closed and 3-4 th grade roads as alternate.
It feels you reached back in time 10-15 years back in time.
Small rooms , twisty coridors, over heated uncontrolable room temperature .
In the restaurant with one useless wery loud live  music and a wery powerfull toilet odour.
The food is plenty but not so tasty, and it is served after 30 - 40 minutes.

Very rural 10-15 years back in time

The rooms are clean, but very small, we've booked a triple room, they offered a double, and instead the 3th bed, they've put two mattresses directly on the floor.
View: good mountain view on each window.
The restaurant: tasty meals, but the laziness of waiters was over all expectations!
Very poor Wi-Fi,  with a slow Internet, often i-net goes down.
Unfortunately we staid here in the period of world football championship, and they translated the matches every day on big board with a loud-loudspeker sound!

Hotel Dobru ok

The room was ok, clean with a good bed but the bath could have been cleaner. I didn't like the fact that the 3rd bed was in fact some matrices placed near the twin bed and you could't use one side of the bed. 
The breakfast was good, with enough food and variety. 
Prices of the restaurant were pretty high but the food is ok.
I didn't like that the sauna and the pool are in another hotel and you cannot go in the winter time by foot because is too far.
