I was greeted by a friendly host who explained me everything about the hostel and also Iasi. This man definitely deserves a compliment. The hostel was very proper and the bathroom was clean as well. I have no negative comments about this place. If you need an affordable place to stayin Iasi, Bicycle Hostel it is!

Great place to stay while exploring Iasi!

A lovely hostel that is less than a 10 minute walk from both the train station and main bus station. There is a huge common area with a ton of comfy seats and quick WiFi. There is a very well stocked kitchen and right beside a Kaufman supermarket if you want to cook.
I had a single bed which is a rare luxury for someone who is used to being in bunk beds.
1 slight complaint is none of the showers had a slot for the shower head which is an annoyance but that is a minor quibble.

Lovely central hostel

The Bicycle Hostel, is located on a side street, which means it's off the main road, away from noisy traffic and crowds, and therefore safer.  At the same time, the Bicycle Hostel is near to a large supermarket, with everything you might need for a comfortable stay and provisions such as groceries.  It's also close by to the train station for those who want a trip out of Iasi, or for those arriving to Iasi.  The local tram service is located close by too.  
To get to the train station and tram services, just take a left turn, but take a right turn to walk up to the main attractions of Iasi, such as  the magnificent Palace of Culture, other museums, Religious buildings, parks, pubs and eateries, plus a modern shopping mall.

Inside the Bicycle Hostel, you will find it spotlessly clean, and very comfortable.  It has a great kitchen in which to cook, with all you might need, such as cooker, microwave oven, large fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle and dishwashing area.

The main communal room is a living room with TV, plus diner where it is possible to relax, play board games,  or dine with other travellers, if you want to.  I personally enjoyed this area as I met other travellers, of mixed ages and nationalities, who I made friends with very quickly, and hung out with and with whom I went sightseeing.  A great boon for me as a mature, lone traveller to Iasi and most certainly making it better than a formal hotel experience.
I chose to stay in a three bed private room at the Bicycle Hostel for a total of five nights, which was very affordable and exceptional value for money.  My room was opposite the shared bathroom, which has a great shower and which I had no problems accessing whenever I wanted to.

While I had a  private room on the first floor of the Bicycle Hostel. there is a roof top terrace on the top floor with great rooftop views.  It also features a table, chairs and parasol for the warmer seasons. In fact the building itself has a warm feel given its  architectural style, which is that of the classic mediterranean, making it perfectly Romanian in its Latin cultural context

One important aspect, which made my stay at the Bicycle Hostel comfortable and memorable, was the exceptionally friendly, accommodating and hard working staff; Sebbi and Anka.  

In all, I highly recommend the Bicycle Hostel for a great and memorable stay in Iasi.

Great value, great staff, excellent facilities, exceptionally clean.

Pros: 10-15 min walk from train/bus station, female only dorm rooms, near a grocery store, decent bathroom to bed ratio, friendly & multilingual staff, large lockers.
Cons: dog inside was being noisy during the night and the water stopped working one morning. 

Good location, spacious 

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff were very helpful, the hostel is pretty central, 8-10 minutes walk from the centre. Rooms are large, clean and well-lit. There's a common room and a kitchen if you need it. Recommended.

Lovely hostel

10 min walk from the train and bus station, and a 10 min walk from the city center, this hostel is a hidden gem. The staff is really nice and friendly, and the atmosphere is amazing. The rooms are nice and cozy and the bathrooms are clean. Give it a try!
