Below average. We were a large group and most people were unhappy. Food was served cold, dry, small portions. Inam referring here to barbeque, papanasi, bulz. Wine offer was weak, almost no options. House wine is just coloured water, couldn't drink it. 

Not worth it. Only if no other options are available. 

We ate here a late lunch consisting exclusively of pizza’s, but damn it was good. Although the vegetarian pizza has an unsual ingredient: cucumber, it is still phenomenal. The reason why I gave it 5 stars is that it surprized me in a pleasant way. I didn’t expect to like the food(judging a book by its cover) but the quality of the food vs. money is worth a visit.

Nice surprize

I like this restaurant - it is smallish so I recommend you book in advance and very family-oriented, with great attentive service and nice Romanian fare. Vast menu with the usual dishes - all sorts of Romanian soups and ciorbe, all the traditional mains (meaty stews, liver, sausages, polenta with cheese etc), the usual papanasi (donuts with cream and jam) and clatite (crepes) for desert.
Service is very nice and flexible, they spinned the menu for my fussy kids and were very prompt in serving. Really great prices too!
This place is perfect for a homey, quiet and delicious meal.

Nice little restaurant with authentic Romanian food

Food was good, but they lacked a few things from the menu (afinata, palinca) and the dishes took a while to arrive. Service was rather slow and they are stingy on the napkins. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience, but they have a lot to improve on. On the upside, prices are pretty low, so it's alright for lunch on a budget if you're ever in Azuga!

Could be better

We spent one night, during high season, in July. Getting to the location was easy. The parking is on the street, but there are plenty of parking spaces, and the area is pretty quiet, yet not very far from all the tourist attractions. We had an apartment, the furniture was kind of dated, but the rooms were clean, comfy, and inviting. Plus, the price is hard to beat. I never expected to find such a pleasant location at such a great price.

One great plus, the restaurant! Everything we tried was delicious! At every meal we had something different, but every dish we had was excellent, and the portions were huge! And not to mention the staff. There were two girls who were in charge of the reception and restaurant, the place being small, they did both, but they did a great job, and they were very polite and nice to everyone.

I would definitely book again at Casa Azugeana!

We loved it!

We have decided to run away from the heat and retreat in the mountains for a week. We spent 2 days in this property. I choose it online, on Booking, while searching for something on the budget and not so far from the main attractions of the area. 
At this moment the main street which will take you to Casa Azugeana is under some heavy work and it is not doable by car, you have to take a side road to make your way. 
The place is relatively quiet, the water bottling plant across the road is just a spot, does not make any noise. Sometimes cars pass by, as there are a lot of houses up on the street. 
In winter is a good spot for skiers, as the slope is not far away. 
The place also has a restaurant on the ground floor. They make an excellent pizza. Not sure that I ate with 2 hands because being too hungry or because it was soo good. Will do it again if possible :-)
The rooms and their furnishing is very basic ,nothing fancy. But they do the job. Same about the bathroom.
if you leave sooner then noon, you will find no-one at the reception. This is kind of how the place works. 
Should you need basic stuff to buy, there are some 7-11 type of stores around.
