Although we are still in dispute with loveholidays regarding dreadful flight delay and change, resulting in us flying to Lisbon, then 2 hour wait for coach, and 4 hour COACH journey to Porto, arriving at the hotel 9 hours later than expected- the hotel was lovely. The breakfast was very good, something for everyone and the staff worked tirelessly cleaning and refilling everything, when supplies were depleted. Reception staff were SO helpful with information and Gabriella and Willeum (?) gave great directions and tips on getting around. The room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. . The beds were comfortable. Good sized bathroom, efficient shower with lovely toiletries. Location was perfect for us - as we enjoy walking- 20 mins to Porto and the Bon Successo food market across the road was superb! The choice of food there was excellent, prices really cheap and people were SO friendly and welcoming. We absolutely loved the vibe there, live music some evenings. The little bar did fantastic Prosecco type drinks - try the mango - absolutely delicious. The staff again really friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and if we return to Porto would stay there again. Hop on/ off bus good for finding your way around. Loved the Douro wine tour, great value for money. Porto is well worth a visit.
