I was travelling with 2 friends, we hadn't planned on staying here but had no choice as the owner of this place had double-booked our private accommodation. She started off quite rude but later apologised by giving us a 6-person room for 3 nights at half price. This was about £20 each for the 3 of us.

From the outside, it looks like it's been abandoned. There are no lights in the lobby area and I could hear mice near the staircase, it felt very creepy and unsafe. However, the actual room was okay, it was bright and clean with a storage area. The bunk beds were fine, not the worst. 

There was one toilet, 2 showers and a kitchen shared between 6 rooms. It was a long wait for a shower in the mornings as there were loads of other people staying in rooms beside us. The toilet was grimy but it did flush properly so it could have been worse! 

The kitchen had a large fridge which was great, and some pots, cutlery, plates etc we could have used if we wanted to. We didn't make use of the common area (3 sofas) but it seemed like a good place to plan your day if your room was too small, for example. 

I'm still surprised that we lasted 3 nights in this place considering the dark street it is located on and the state of the building. The main reason we stayed was because it's about a 15 minute walk to the town centre and it is very cheap, even full price. If you're on a budget and the mice I mentioned haven't scared you off, go for it. It's all an experience and did I mention, it's cheap! We really only spent time in the bedroom, which was clean and comfortable enough. But we spent most of our days out exploring anyway.
