BGC Hostel & Dorm

Small place but well-managed by good people. Think of it as staying in your auntie's house. Ideal for younger people though because their staircase is a bit steep but overall its ok. Given the price and location, it's practical to stay there if you have important things to do nearby.

The staff were nice and accommodating (Hello, Ate Melinda!), the rooms are clean, the bathroom is spacious enough, and it is located near different establishments such as restaurants and convenience stores.

First of, I am very happy that places such as these are becoming more available in Manila. Really good for backpackers, budget travellers, or examiners in a tight budget who are looking for comfort and a place to stay. I had a bit of a confusion when I started booking because they were connected to the booking app Zen rooms. Zen rooms would direct you to a different location in google maps (i do hope they fixed this already) but zen rooms vicente crus and bgc hostel and dorm are the same. Morevoer, booking them online is more expensive. Try to call them up or book one night and book the other nights on the hostel itself. Because if you book manually the bunk beds is just 499 Php around 10USD per night but if you check online it becomes 12 -14 USD. If you are really on a tight budget. 2 USD can give you to meals in the Philippines already. So it is something to consider.

I recently stayed at the BGC Hostel and Dorm in Manila. The hostel was very clean. The layout of the hostel was peculiar, however. The two bathroom/shower rooms were located off the kitchen area. The main dorm was also located directly off the kitchen area. The hostel was within walking distance to the Ohayami Bus Terminal. The hostel also provided lockers in the dorms. You are required to provide your own lock for the lockers. 

Overall I felt it was an adequate stay. 

Adequate 

I stayed at BGC for 2 nights. All the staff are nice, they are full of smile and greet me every time they saw me. They are very helpful, even when i didn't ask for attraction around and search it all in internet they give me a paper of several destinations to visit nearby.
However, cleanliness needed to be see. As on the first night i stay and slept. On the next day there were several red dots behind my neck and it was so itchy. Cleanliness of room needed to be see. Especially the pillow. Toilet was quiet okay.

It was nice place to stay

Stay away from this place!! , booked using red doors, the place has no water, imagine staying in for 2 days without water, plus you have to knock on their door because no one is at the gate, find someplace else, for the price range you can find better since there are other redoorz rooms same as the price they have here.
