This hotel is very nice and relaxing it was 2yrs ago the last time we stayed in this hotel .but I still remember how the staff treated their guests with their smile.Every morning their breakfast is on time,even though there's a limited choices.i missed this hotel.i hope I can come back again!the wifi is not bad.affordable rate.Over all, this hotel is highly recommended!

Excellent ,Awesome

While at the airport im trying to imagine how our hotel would look like. And when we arrived what i have seen on the net is exactly the same in the actual view. What pictures they posted on their website is really the real picture of their rooms.

What attracts me most is the al fresco on second floor. And of course what makes me comfortable is the warm welcome smiles of the hotel attendants. They dont leave us hanging. They were very attentive guiding us. And the room rates are just enough... very near to the malls...

i will go back here for sure. Ill reccommends this hotel to my friends in davao and to others who would like to visit gensan. And the wifi signal is so okay. That matters to me most. Hehe

Awesome hotel name (ice castle hotel) hehe... great interiors... relaxing ambiance... friendly hotel attendants...

We picked this hotel because they were the only ones able to come up with a package that fit our company's needs for the activity we were intending to have. We told Jimmy, one of their staff (over the phone, mind you), what we were hoping could be arranged for us and they came through. Ms. Capao-an, their manager, gave us a very cohesive package rate for our rooms, the use of their function room and the food for the 2-day planning activity. I remember thinking, "This hotel's staff is very efficient." It was literally phoning up and having them take care of everything.

Rooms were clean (very comfortable beds), food was good (I liked the Garlic Chicken), service staff was nice and accommodating (especially Gemma), function room was functional, no choice of channels on the TV though. We were told the service provider was fixing some problem with their TV box. 

Areas for Improvement: Serving dishes and trays from previous night's dinner were still out with the food in them. Table I sat at for breakfast had ants marching on the table top underneath the sheer tablecloth. Addition of toothpaste and toothbrush to the bare essentials provided would be nice. Fans out by the Fire and Ice Bar's terrace would be great since Gen. Santos' weather is humid and hot. 

Overall, a good place to stay. We'd definitely book with them again.

A Good Choice

The room was small but designed quite nice. I didn't like just one thing about my room because the toilet had no seat covers. It's quiet and off the road so you might have difficulties finding it unless you point them to the landmark (Jinky Pacquiao's building) which sits right in front of it. It is also near the Notre Dame of Dadiangas. There are no transportation choices here, just tricycles. Taxis can be chartered to and from a location which costs around 250-300 depending on where you're going. The hotel had some construction going on when I was here, or maybe it was just a dump that I saw on the second floor. This is not also elderly/disabled friendly because there's no way but a small flight of stairs to go to your rooms. I love the people though, they always ask you if you need help to go somewhere or remind you if you  want to have breakfast. They only have Filipino breakfasts so don't go to this budget hotel if you are choosy. For the price I paid, I think it's totally worth it. Plus you get peace and quiet in this place because it is on a dirt road.

It's the people

We stayed in suite room and it stunk I think it was from broken pipe under tiles of the toilet there answer was spray. air con noisey.
Only one other customer for the 2 days we had food was ordinary and if still renovating tell them for how long.
All I can say is the staff was good just a poor hotel nothing going for it. Location poor.
we won't be back my bro in law say the stink from ice cream  storage underneath.
