We booked this place not because of it being a dive resort but being close to Corong Corong beach. However we gladly signed up for two dives with Ruben and the crew.
We had a really nice day on and below the water with great spots and a top notch staff.
Ruben was a pleasure to dive with.

Apart from the great diving experience I really suggest you to sit down with the crew in the evening and have some drinks just as we did :-) Lovely people who are always down for a good talk. We had some great evenings there.

The rooms were good with ac and a nice bath, we couldn't have asked for more.

Came for a bed, stayed for a dive... and rum :-)

We did not have a chance to stay at the accommodation, but we went on 2 fun dives and a night dive with the Resort's diving service. Our friendly and reliable diving guide "Nokke" is a local who grew up in El Nido and knew a lot about the ocean, wildlife, and the history of the area. Not only the dive itself was amazing, we had a very interesting learning experience about El Nido. Highly recommended.

The rooms are a bit rundown and there was a funky smell every time you used the shower. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, going the extra mile when one of us got sick (not from hotel food/drink).Overall, you get what you pay for.

The property was ok not the best but the location was great! But staying at the main floor next to the office was a very bad idea since the stuff and customers talk, can hear pretty much everything. Amenity can be more improvement. Breakfast was good, if have coffee refill will even better

This place is solid, clean(ish) and convenient. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was of a good standard, with real maple syrup for the pancakes.

For unfussy grown ups on an adventure

The staff was nice and helpful. The room was small, which was okay, but it was not clean at all. When we arrived, there were spider nets hangig in the bathroom door and the toilet seat wasn’t cleaned well enough. We didn’t expect a luxury room but cleaning should be a basic standard.The hotel is situated in Corong-Corong really close to the beach, which was great! El Nido Proper is only 10 minutes away (it’s easy to get a Trycicle). The diving was also good.

Stay in Corong-Corong

We have booked through Agoda, used 2 bookings due to change in schedule, we were able to check in for the first night. The next day, we left for our tour and when we came back in the evening the front desk told us that our booking for the next 2 nights is not valid since it didn't show in their Agoda Calendar. The front desk emphasized that is it not their issue and Agoda's issue and that WE should contact agoda and they would not refund us for the inconvenience. She asked us to leave as soon as possible because they have booked all their rooms. We didn't made a scene even if we are really pissed off with the situation and decided to book on the adjacent Inn.
The quality of their rooms is according to what you pay for, basic stuff like 2 single bed put together to become 1 double bed. 1 thin pillow each. They have cupboards with no door. The toilet is suffient.
Their breakfast is basic.
The staff are nice tho, that's the only good thing i can say nice for this property. 

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY if you are using any booking platform. Their system is lousy, you might end up mightily disappointed

The reviews don't lie

Hate to write this review but want others to know what they are getting into if they decide to visit El Nido and possibly stay here.  There were 9 of us on our trip and all 9 experienced nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea.  We do not know if it is the hotel but seems alittle suspicious since the German couple that arrived a couple days before us both got sick and the wife of Canadian couple that arrived after us got sick and another Canadian couple both got sick.  Possibly it could be the surrounding restaraunts but curious that so many had severe stomach issues that were staying here at this resort.  The front desk personelle were very nice and the dive masters were both wonderful (Jom and Paulo)  The scenery was spectacular as well.  Too bad the sickness had to ruin part of the vacation.. May just want to bring your own food and water because we have read there is a big problem with E coli and sanitation in general.  By the way we all did drink bottled water (and the hotel's "filtered" water  and did not consume raw vegetables etc.

Be careful!  Many sick gests!

When we arrived at Pa Lao Yu yesterday (29 May 2019) and showed the reception our booking, the hotel told us they sold the room to other guest already because they missed the booking request and they didn't refund and told us to contact Booking.com to get our money back (4500PHP~87USD for 2 nights). I used credit card to book Pa Lao Yu and fully paid. They arranged one room in their "partner" hostel which is actual cheaper, dirtier and has cockroach flying around in the room.
We booked Pa Lao Yu to stay near our favourite beach (quite and clean) for two night and now had to move to a cheap hotel at the downtown (no window, no wifi in the room, very noisy AC, lower price with cockroach). This is the third hotel/hostel we have been stayed in El nido and the first time met cockroach on the bed. Also, the actual price of this place doesn't up to 2250PHP~43USD per night.

NOT RECOMMENDED IT AT ALL.
