I only stayed one night and the room worked well for that. Cleaning was only to a very basic standard, judging from the dust on the top of the switch/plugs and the state of one cup. Shower was okay. Spare towels and blanket in cupboard. Once the sirens died down I had a peaceful night [East side of building]. Small double bed, but adequate for one. Good sized room. Location worked well. Security to use lift. 

Okay for one night

After reading other reviews  we were somewhat concerned, but need not be , we had a smallish  but nice room with all that was needed for our 6 day stay, it was clean with extra towels in wardrobe, taking the rubbish to bins one floor down was not a hassle on our way out.
 Reception ladies  very pleasant and helpful, excellent security with key tag to access lifts.
 Easy access to all Wellington has to offer, bus service 5 mins stroll, but we actually walked everywhere we wanted to visit.
Obviously the convenience of being close to the city had the drawback of  city noise, but we still had good nights sleep, noise from restaurant next door was minimal, although a few noisy folk on the way home had obviously had a good night, but just folk enjoying life, and yes would stay again.
The free WiFi was adequate with good reception

As many reviews I can see here the place its on a very good location but is a bit tired. The bed was one of the worst I've ever seen in a hotel that costs more than $100 a night. Creaking horrible mattress and the place need to have a better supervision on cleaning services. Very handy location to explore Cuba st. and the surrounds. No parking. 

Good location and thats it

Booked in for a weekend, i.e. 2 nights.

Allocated a studio apartment on the 6th floor with windows facing west.

On entering noticed the room was uncomfortably hot. Assumed it was from the sun streaming in. Fan switch didnt seem to be working . Reception said there was a ceiling vent fan but there didn't seem to be any fixture which showed signs of air entering or leaving the room.   Had to try and cool the room by opening the windows.

While checking switches also discovered that 2 of the light bulbs for the kitchenette and room were not working.  Not a real problem and invited reception to attend to them when we vacated.

Flat screen TV which didn't appear to have SKY, nor a user manual.  Unable to get advise from reception as they had gone for the day (and most of the weekend).

First night was spent in an uncomfortably hot room with music and partying noises from the attached restaurant/bar and somewhere else until 3 am.  No use trying to remedy the problem as there are no staff on the premises. They have to be phoned.

Problem of heat was solved the next morning when we found the (oil?) heater had been left on.  Probably by the previous occupants.  But not checked by service staff.

So our second night was more comfortable with cooler conditons and music from the restaurant ceasing earlier (about 11pm??)
According to the instruction booklet left in the room units are serviced once a week or on change of occupants.  Bear this in mind if you are staying any length of time.

Furnishings and catering items were adequate.  A supply of sachet tea, coffee and sugar were provided, but bring your own milk. You are also required to empty your rubbish bins on leaving the premises into wheely bin which may not be on your floor.

A two minute walk to Cuba Street.  15 minutes to Te Papa and the Underground Markets.  20 - 25 minutes to the heart of the CBD.  Taxi  from the Interislander Ferry Terminal to the apartments $20 - 25.

Had an excellent stone grilled steak self-cooked at our table at the restaurant next door.  All types of cuisine available in Cuba Street and Mall.

Location, location but not much else

Great location near the top of Cuba St. But a little run down and needs a clean. 
Given only one key this was a little annoying. 
Handy to all the great dining options in Cuba street and only a short walk to city centre.

Good location. Needs a good clean.

Not very clean (only seem to clean easy to reach obvious places), bed is a low small double and the edges are hard.  Quite noisy with wind, traffic and general street noise. Great location but needs updating and better cleaners. It was okay as only used as a place to sleep and I had ear plugs but bed really too small and hard. Said wifi included but it didn’t work
