Plantation House Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I were recently visiting Tairua for the weekend and stayed at the Plantation House, it was our very first experience in a B&B and we loved it!

Ian and Jane were extremely accomodating and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful breakfast, clean accomodation, and lovely location. We would highly recommend!!

Tairua is short distance from Coromandel hot spots. Around 25minute drive from Cathedral Cov and Hot Water beach, but really, wonderful place on its own. You will be fairly suprised by its beauty. Locals are friendly and Plantation House is just a minute walk away from beachfront. There are seaviews from its balcony and wonderful property overall. Also host Ian and Jane, are just wonderful people, and that's most important thing about b&b. They were friendly throughout and very informative around tour attractions. This place needs more reviews

Stayed just one night in this lovely B&B on the edge of Tairua, and while the views were terrific, the hosts were even better!  I don't think I've ever gone out to dinner at a local restaurant with hosts, and talked books and New Zealand and everything else for hours!  What a great way to spend a Saturday evening - and Ian made a great call on the route to take going back south on a busy weekend!  Certainly one to try again!

The hosts were very welcoming and genuinely pleased to have us stay there. They went out of their way to assist us with getting around the coromandel. The room and bathroom were a bit on the small side but we did have a lot of luggage and were out for most of the day. Breakfast was homely and substantial. Price of stay was high but matched the seasonal rate. Location was super and 20mins drive from hot water beach and Hahei. The Tairua town centre is within walking distance and has lovely places to eat.

Great hosts!

Pleasant stay

No locks on the door, we could not lock our door and the explanation was that it was not needed.? How uncomfortable is that!
Breakfast was very poor and nearly uncomfortable .
The location is on the main road and with no double glazing in the windows and the Heavy traffic passing by one could only sleep from about midnight to be woken up again at 05.00 in the morning. Horrible,!! 
The pricing of this B.B made us choose this , because the more expensive normally the better but this was the contrary of this theory. It was not worth half the money and 
nothing could repair the loss of sleep.
Having stayed in quite a few Places in New Zealand we thought that this one was by far the most disappointing
