We visited with our daughter and son in law, as the last part of their trip to NZ. The place was really a wonderful, different place to stay.  We were lucky to have the 2 rooms with the lounge and kitchen and we just enjoyed the evenings, BBQ , after a busy day, and then a spell in the hot tub. The Hosts were wonderful, helpful and the breakfast was soooo nice!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The couple who run it are lovely and made delicious breakfasts for us. The rooms are clean and spacious and the kitchen was well kitted out. The hot tub is an added bonus, especially after a dip in the Sounds water! We had a very relaxing stay here - would definitely recommend! 

Linda and Steve who run this little gem of a B&B were such wonderful hosts! They travelled  everywhere, had tons of lovely stories and super helpful recommendations and went the extra mile! We stayed in the cottage, lots of space, two bathrooms, laundry, deck with comfy chairs to enjoy the afternoon sun - all there! We totally loved the hot tub after a full day of kayaking! Plus, Linda prepared the most delicious meals 😀

This Amazing retreat is set out in the Rolling Hills around Woodhill, about an half hour from Auckland. It is the brainchild of Peter Eastwood and his daughter Stacey who believe on treading lightly on the earth.

You can Camp or book into the lovely Earthy acomdation. The place has been a recent site of Country Music Festivals. the Eastwoods love Africa and have given back to our Rhino Foundation continuously.

In March 2019 they had a few people around and we held a Mini Corporate event to Sustain our Vanishing Natural World- the food was plant based and the people were humble!

Linda and Steve are very nice hosts. They gave us very good advice on the things to do and helped us organize it. Our room was nice, not extremely big, but it had everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful, the conversation was just the icing on the cake. Everything is very clean. You get a high value for your money. We can highly recommend the Tanglewood if you are in the Sounds.

Wonderful stay with a wonderful couple, Linda and Steve, who do everything for their guests comfort. 

We were a hiking, kayaking group of about 10 people. Our tour group, Active Adventures, arranged our stay here. 

Great lodgings, scenic views, generous portions of delicious home cooked food for dinners and breakfasts.

For our packed lunches a huge spread was put out for us after our breakfast to make our own snacks and sandwiches for the day. Loved it!

Our kayaking guide even harvested some mussels and joined us for dinner at the B and B where we were treated to those mussels cooked beautifully by Linda. 

My mom and I stayed at the Tanglewood Bed & Breakfast for two nights and found the accommodations and our hosts very charming. Our room, while on the smaller size, was very beautiful, clean, and contained everything we needed.  We opted to ask about having dinner prepared one night and the chicken/root vegetables were delicious.  Steve and Linda are great hosts and obviously love running the B&B along with their other various interests.  

The drive to the B&B is about 25 minutes from Picton along the beautiful Queen Charlotte Drive.  The B&B has a beautiful garden along with glow worms and a hot tub.  The views over the bay and rolling hills/mountains are gorgeous. 

I'm glad that we booked our room at Tanglewood instead of staying someplace in town.

We stayed here three nights and wished it could have been longer. It is a 35-minute drive from Picton over winding roads, but it is worth it to be close to hiking, kayaking, and visiting wineries. Restaurants are close by in Havelock, with green-lipped mussels the specialty.  One night Linda cooked for us and the other guests a splendid meal with a bounty of food. We enjoyed the hot tub and having wine on the balcony outside our room overlooking the bush and the sea. Everything was top-rate—food, friendliness, comfort and accessibility. Linda and Steve are not only gracious hosts but new-found friends. We hope to return very soon.
