We have been here with a Groupon-voucher. Friendly help from receptionists, very nice breakfasts, delicious and exclusive 4-dinner and a beautiful location. The relaxation area is beautiful, but not really inviting (for example, too high table).
Room (No. 34) is spacious, very clean (!), new bathroom, the carpet is soft but the color in style.
The bicycle rental (from the Hotel) provides good cycles, please note that you have to ride uphill on your way back ;-)

Geweldig verblijf

We decided to spent a few days here during Christmas in this hotel adjacient to the woods in a small hamlet called Hoog Soeren.
A warm welcome awaits you in this family run hotel. The staff overal are very helpful and friendly. They certainly go to their outmost length to help you in anyway they can.

Please take note of the following, communication isn't their strongest and therefor some requirements will (possibly) go wrong. Wich is a shame if you still have to pay for a 4 course Christmas dinner whilst during circumstances you enjoyed 3 course. Also when it's busy in the hotel, staff seems to loose their control over guests and that can result in a longer waiting period when your food is served or you are being helped.

The food is of very good quality and for me personal not a disappointment at all. We enjoyed the local dishes and drinks. Even breakfast is good and there's quite some to choose from in the mornings. If you have any requirements or alergic reactions please let the staff know and they will take that in account.

The rooms, on the Southside, however are outdated and need an upgrade especially when it comes to the price you have to pay for it. There are certain ammenities that could be bettered or certain things have to be changed. The beds are comfortable however if you are able to bring your own pillow, it's a must do!

Overall we had a lovely stay here and we enjoyed the local attractions or explored the area. Will we return for an overnight stay? Yes, despite of the short commings because it's a nice rural hotel where you can relax if you want.

A lovely stay

We booked a 5 days arrangement (6th-10th February'15) together with our 2 dogs. From the first until the last second of our stay we were felt very welcome by the very friendly and helpful hotel staff (also towards our dogs). Breakfast (brought at the table) and 3-course evening meals were spot-on and well looked after! Very tasty thus we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel itself is set amidst the beautiful woods of the Apeldoorn region which is superb if you like walking (with or without dogs) and (mountain) biking. One can notice that the hotel underwent major renovations. For instance the groundfloor dining & bar area are so cosy and warm (really lovely); rooms idem dito. We will definately visit this hotel again and can surely recommend it to anyone!
A good tip : please also read the very positive ratings via Zoover.nl  The outdated ones here via Tripadvisor are no longer applicable as the hotel underwent major renovations. That was my experience as a first time visitor of the hotel.

Lovely dog friendly hotel amidst beautiful woods

Rooms were very basic and had poor water pressure for showers. We had an evening meal - eventually - but service was so slow as to be very annoying. Drinks were hard to order and the (very expensive) food took over an hour to arrive. Breakfast was ok but again took a long time to arrive.

Very basic but awful service

We stayed in the hotel for one night during our 3-day bike ride. Upon arrival the checkin was ok. Room was good and the hotel was situated in a nice location. First we decided to get something to drink at the terrace. It took a long time before we could order something. We also had dinner in the evening. Apparantly there was a capacity issue in the kitchen. It took really long before the different courses were served. We got the main meal after about 90 minutes. That would have been ok if the food was good. However both dinners were below the standar quality one would expect. We complaint and received some compemsation, but that is not what you are there for.
