Very close to Jma El Fnaa square and to the souk. This riad is simple, yet very cozy and clean. We had a great time there. The staff is very welcoming and does the best. Definitely staying there again once back to Marrakech.

Perfect location and great cost

I had accidentally booked another one of their Raid's for the wrong date, and when we arrived at that Raid they were so sweet and nice about my mistake and linked me up with this Raid - even had the man walk down from the Raid to get us and had no problem honoring the same price I had been quoted on booking.com.
We got a king bed room with its own bathroom (HUGE ROOM) for $31/night including breakfast. This place is incredibly clean with impeccable service. I will definitely be back. The location is GREAT! So close to the main medina!
They also offer a "menu" of services - spa services, camel rides, and day tours. We went on the camel rides for $25/person and really enjoyed it.

We spend three days in this lovely riad, two friends and one girlfriend. We booked the rooms in advance so we was a bit concerned about. Nothing to  worry at the very first approach we did realize that the place was very clean and all the pictures match perfectly with the current state of the rooms. 
Its located a step forward from the passionate and rowdy square market onto the Medina, far enough to lightly hear the typical soiree Marrakesh surrounding soundtrack but still five minutes walk away from it, really helpfull especially when a small group walking through a narrow streets overnight. 
The room where bright and clean beg enough and well connected towards the round balcony to a big patio - atrium where you can enjoy a nice chill out meant tea. 
We have allways had a warm welcome on arrival followed by a fantastic Moroccan meant tea and small traditional bisquits, greatfull after a exiting breathless journey away. They offered to use a big terrace upstairs with great views to the market witch we would dream to be there during the summer time, we could anyway enjoy some great night after diner time. 
Happy overall with the price and staff so always have been very attentive and happy help, answere the questions or guide. We have had a great time with them, charming people and reasonably good price. 

Great Enchanting and Clean

Riad Lion , my first choice and the best one . Friendly and warm atmosphere ,very clean and close to everything , nice view from the terase and excellent services 24 hours  ;-)  :-) .
I would like to write more , but i suggest you to visit and stay in this place , you will find out more and more and you will like it for sure .

great memories and friendly services

We stayed at the Riad du Lion for four nights in September 2011.  The first night we were fresh off the flight from London, it was already dark and we had no idea what to expect.  However, Ahmed the manager of the riad was at the airport to meet us, took us in a taxi to the main square, escorted us across the square and down a narrow ‘street’ or two and in no time we were sharing our first mint tea in Morocco.  We then dropped our bags and Ahmed escorted us back across the square to another riad for our first dinner (tagine and couscous of course) in Morocco.  I mention all this detail because it set the tone for our next three days in Marrakech. Ahmed provided an excellent breakfast every morning, helped us with information and arranged a day-long tour outside the city.  Our room was large and clean and the central courtyard cool and quiet.  The riad is located just off the main square.  Although the riad itself is quiet, the main square is noisy and chaotic most every night it seems.   There is a partly obscured view of the square from the roof of the riad.  The World Heritage medina is right at the door and the area is safe.  It is an easy walk to anywhere in the old town.  Friends  stayed in the same riad 12 months earlier and received exactly the same excellent service.  Overall, we were very fortunate that our lengthy visit to Morocco started off so well.
