Avoid this place like the plague.  
Owner, 'coco' is a liar and threatens to call police unless you pay double.
False advertising. - no breakfast or even water!
Garbage strewn about all over courtyard.  Unsanitary indoor space filled with dirt.
Dog barks all night.  
No hot water in showers.
"Private rooms" are just a shack in the yard with holes in the walls and ceiling.

Disgusting and shameful.

Horrendous. Disastrous.  Disgusting.

The overall place was cold, and when you have a shared bathroom it is not very helpful. Also I never found hand soap in the bathroom and as it was low season I had to ask in advance to turn on the hot water to shower. The walls were thin and you could hear your next door neighbour snoring. The kitchen was locked until 8 or 8.30am and in a few occasions, as I had an early trip planned I couldn't use it or even have some coffee.
Nevertheless, the family run guesthouse was cosy and the room big and comfortable (once I moved from the garden shed - Do not book the garden room, it is incredibly tiny and cold and going to the outdoor bathroom didn't help with the experience!). Everyone in Casa di Gladys were kind and friendly, and as helpful as can be. The place is also in a central location, very convenient for all the sites and services, but still in a very genuine area, with a local feel to it.
The price is very very cheap, so overall it was quite good value for money.

Cosy family run guesthouse in caractheristic area of San Cristòbal

I never had such a negative experience in a place in all my life. The room I had in the terrace did not have proper walls and was getting very cold at night. In 15 days I spend there, I never had my room cleaned. The owner "Gladys" is a fake, rude and extremely money orientated person. She was complaining all the time about everybody "workers and guests. The only positive thing was the bathrooms were clean but rooms cold and extremely small. I cannot stand these fake spiritual people (Osho follower) that throw their life and psychological problems beside their greed and extreme materialism into their guest. Avoid this place. There are plenty of better options in beautiful, charming and gentle San Cristobal

I never met such a bad and fake host

The owner is melodramatic, wants to confide in you but just complains, went through 9 employees trying to manage or clean in the 4 months I was there (I was told she pays so very little, but I watched as she ordered people around to do LOTS of work for her).
TINY room, great garden below & rooftop above, but the kitchen was unusable due to the first manager leaving food out for days.
Manager was gay & letting in partners at night; owner's daughter complained about hearing men with him, but it was still allowed!!!

Creepy stay; great views.

My experience in La casa di gladys was excellent!
I stayed for a month. I had a small cabaña in the outside garden.
the cabaña can get a little cold at nights. But other than that, it was great.
The kitchen is pretty well equipped. Theres always hot water for a shower.  
A nice garden and a nice terrace. Its located very close to everything.
And its usually very calm and serene.
But most importantly, Ernesto, the man who takes care of the place, is a wonderful kind man, that would help you with anything.

I had a great time here!

The staff was very kind and helpful and Gladys is a good hostess, was kind and friendly. Gets very defensive if there is a problem which might earn her a negative comment.The bathrooms need new toilet seats and tank guts. The water was hot. Free coffee and tea, Nice sitting/tv room but noisy at night when the place gets busy. Kitchen privileges is a plus. Nice rooftop garden. Back garden which needs a bit of an update or thorough cleaning and maintenance. Erensto, the on site person is 24/7 and bless his heart, does all he can....which basically seems to be everything.
