90 reviewsThis is a nice place close to the heart of Oaxaca. The proximity to the 400-year-old aqueduct made me feel that I was teleported to the ancient Rome. The stone structure adds an enigmatic ambience to the street, where the B&B is located. The room was very comfortable, colorful, and sufficient in size to accommodate a queen size bed, small desk, night table, shelves, and decorations. It was very pleasant for me to return to the room each night. The place is conveniently located in 7 - 10 min walk from the historical center of town, yet the area is very quiet. No crowds, no traffic, no beggars, or suspicious individuals around. Yesenia, the receptionist, was ever helpful and smiling, providing pieces of advice, booking public transportation, and taking care of the laundry. She is a star on the place! Many thanks to the owners and the personnel of Casa los Arquitos for the comfortable stay! Breakfasts was modest, but due to the kindness and helpfulness of the staff I was offered additional items for breakfast free of charge. I think that if the breakfast was a little more generous (yogurts, various fruit, cold cuts, boiled eggs) it would be better. Drinking / boiling water was always available for the guests 24 hours a day from the dispenser. Overall, I recommend this place to my friends and anyone who wants to have a reasonably priced, clean, welcoming, and comfortable place.
