We are the couple mentioned below who cancelled our hotel room in Centro to extend our stay at El Sol La Vida.  This is the finest B&B we've ever had the pleasure of staying at, and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have tripped over this little gem.

Our arrival Thursday afternoon was greeted by the sound of awesome live music from the beachfront cafe next door, and the experience just got better at every turn.  The room was fabulous, the food amazing, the gardens simply gorgeous, and the most comfortable sleep of our trip.  Everything here is immaculate and most tasteful in every respect.

Linda and Ray are just terrific hosts, there is nothing they won’t do to make your stay the very best possible.  We were treated as valued guests at every turn, but we actually felt more like friends than customers.  The staff are friendly and charming...the warmth of this oasis can't be fully expressed in words.

As owners of an agri-tourism RV park in BC, we understand the care and attention necessary to deliver a quality experience to visitors…Linda and Ray have that bit nailed hands down.  If you are looking for an incredible getaway, for miles of gorgeous beach all to yourself, for a beautiful and highly tasteful retreat where you are afforded peace and all the space you need, look no further than El Sol La Vida!

Maravilloso!

I can not say enough nice things about this B&B! The food is incredible, it’s extremely safe, the rooms are immaculate and the owners are incredible. The owners go out of heir way to make sure your stay is amazing. I have stayed at lots of B&B’s and this was by far the best! My daughter wants to Mexico after she graduates and I will be sending her to El Sol La Vida as a gift. We ran into another couple staying there who booked the first few nights at El Sol La Vida and the last couple in El Centro. Needless to say after on e night at El Sol La Vida they cancelled their nights in the Central District and rebooked to stay with Ray and Linda!

Best place ever!

After staying 8 nights in the historical part of Mazatlan we spent our last 2 nights at El Sol la Vida and wish we could've stayed longer!  We were sold on the fact that it was adults only and outside of town as we were looking for a quiet getaway after being in the hustle and bustle.This place was better than expected! Small and intimate we quickly made friends with another lady from Canada and spent most of our time lounging in the sun, soaking in the hot tub and walking the beach. Ray drove us to a restaurant the two nights we were there and Linda served us a home cooked breakfast in the mornings. We felt as if we found our own private oasis and were so glad this place didn't end up being a large pretentious resort like others in the area. Perfect way to end our trip and would love to come back!

Paradise

There are plenty of resorts in the world, but there is only one El Sol La Vida.  Intimate (only 4 rooms) and luxurious while amazingly homey.  It is located within easy reach of all Mazatlán, yet far enough away to escape the hustle bustle and noise.  A world away you can easily reach by a very short UBER, taxi or Pulmonia ride.  

Every detail is so thoughtfully considered by the two remarkable owners, Linda and Ray., and they unobtrusively look after each guest to ensure that every moment of your stay is as perfect as possible.  

Begin each day with truly gourmet breakfast. Luxuriate the days away in the pool and hot tub. Laze on the deck under the palapas elevated above miles of nearly empty beaches with incredible views to the horizon.

Retire to the luxurious rooms with all the amenities and, honestly, the most comfortable and wonderful beds we have ever encountered. 

We have lived in Mazatlán for years and visit El Sol La Vida as often as we can.  It elevates our Mazatlán life. And yes, Linda and Ray are our friends. Stay even a single night with them and they will be your friends too.

Simply Perfect

Once in a while you get some surrises here and there, but his has been definitely the experience of a lifetime! Visiting Mazatlán has been a tradition to our family, but summer 2017 we discovered this unique, private and perfectly managed boutique hotel! 
Next summer we are going back! Don´t miss this for a relaxing and out of the ordinary trip!

Special, special, special!

If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is it! This small adults only resort offers only four bedrooms making it a peaceful retreat for those travelers who don't like crowds and noise. The hospitality the hosts provide is outstanding. We enjoyed our visit so much we've already booked a second stay. The included breakfasts were healthful and delicious as was the food offered at the Surf's Up Cafe located right next door.

Lovely relaxing quiet beachfront resort

Ray and Linda were lovely hosts for our mini-vacation during Moto Week. We will definitely go back next year. A 5 star B&B, in our book. We live 6-8 months in Mazatlan and we were introduced to El Sol La Vida by some friends, while dining at Surfs Up, another excellent restaurant, next door to El Sol La Vida. An undiscovered gem....

This is an amazing place .The hosts went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We could not say one negative comment about this place.The property is so clean.Great cafe next door.

A very special piece of Paradise 

El Sol La Vida was wonderful - found the reviews on Trip Advisor to be spot on. We liked the rural setting right on the beach. Only 4 rooms & had beach/pool/jacuzzi to ourselves! The huge breakfasts prepared for us each morning made it so we really didn’t need anymore food until we were ready to go out for an early supper. Our B & B host took us on our our own private day tour of a couple of colonial towns in the hills outside of Mazatlan, to a gorgeous restaurant in the countryside, and to an agave farm/tequila distillery. Delightful!  Taxis were cheap & plentiful, plus our B & B host was more than willing to run us into the nearby beach town of Cerritos, which also had some restaurants/bars. Ray & Linda have a perfect balance of being available for advice or a chat, and then providing some space so you can enjoy the gorgeous view and curl up with your book under one of the palapas.  Your clients who enjoy being a bit independent, would like this place.

Like Having Your Own Beach House

We stayed at El Sol La Vida the 9-18 of February and loved every minute.  Our hosts, Ray and Linda, were very attentive and helpful.  Their B & B is immaculate, and was a warm and welcoming place to relax, read and soak up the sun.  Awesome daily breakfasts!
