We stayed in this unique small hotel for 7 nights. It is run as a family business, which makes the whole difference. The service is first class, breakfast is delicious, it has a laundry room. Rooms are very comfortable. Prices are affordable and very accesible. It was very easy to park our car rental just in front of the hotel on the street. 
We highly recommend this hotel for long and short term stays in Guadalajara. 
 

Beautiful and comfortable hotel in Guadalajara 

I stayed here for week and sadly missed out on the chance to get one of the Suites with Air Conditioning. I had a room on the Ground Floor near which had an entry from the Central Hall/Atrium but no window or air flow so the room was exceedingly hot. Apart from the heating issue which the manager offered a fan to assist, I found the place decent. The lady of the house makes breakfast in the communal kitchen area, and looks after the room. The Room was clean and the shower worked well. I even tried to throw out some socks (in the trash) to find them the next day washed and on the side table. So overall it was a pleasant budget stay, except for the heat.

Cheap, Cheerful, But

It is a bad located, better in pictures, no air conditioner, bad attitude of the lady in charge, not that cheap, to many charges if you need to pay ith credit card. No body knows the address, even taxi drivers.

Beside all the bad things, is clean and tidy, and thats all. Not recommended for people who has no clue of the city, youll get no help of the people in charge.

Mal ubicado, mejor en fotos, sin aire acondicionado, mala actitud de la senora a cargo, nada barato, muchos cargos si necesitas pagar con tarjeta de crédito. Nadie conoce la dirección, aun los taxistas.

Ademas de todo lo malo, es limpio y ordenado, y es todo. No recomendado por las personas que no conocen la ciudad, no obtendras ayuda de las personas a cargo.

Not a good one/No de los buenos

The neighborhood looks a bit seedy but its actually quite safe.  Inside this hostel/hotel is a very pleasant atrium.  The rooms are simple but comfortable.  The lady preparing the breakfasts was EXTREMELY pleasant and kind.  She and her husband keep the place very clean and attend to guests very well. I would definately recommend this place.  
The only difficulty is that it's not super close to town and the bus routes dont pass very close to the place so i had to use taxi's more than I prefer. 

The Place is awesome!

We spent three nights at the residencia, and stayed in the suite, which costs about $6.00 more per night, but has access to a patio.  The hotel is well located:  a pleasant 20 minute walk to the historical center.  There is a take-out pizza place a few books away. Rebecca, the manager, is lovely and very helpful.  This is an excellent budget choice in Guadalajara:  clean, quiet, and with breakfast, wifi, and kitchen access.
