We rented a rooms for 4 people, there was only one lightbulb for the whole room. The service was terrible. The bathrooms were dirty,  the person in charge was rude and every time we needed to ask for something it felt like we were asking for a huge favor. The food was good. But the place looks abandoned, it gives a very creepy vibe.

Worst experience ever.

We reserved 3 rooms for a group of 12 people ( 4 kids); 10 Minutes before we arrived to the hotel "somebody" called to let us know that the reservation was cancelled due to COVD-19 extreme precautions.  The "guy" told us that we need to call expedia to confirm the cancellation and get the reimbursement. We traveled from LA and unfortunately with a  very bad internet connection  so we were unable to place another reservation at the last minute. So we were homeless driving hotel by hotel in the whole "RUTA DEL VINO without any luck because everything was already booked!!!!!! Finally,  after expending 5 hours driving around the mountains we were able to find one room in which we have to pay 3 times  more that what we budged for this hotel. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL HOTELS WERE AVAILABLE AND NONE OF THEM told us that they were required to cancel their guest due to COVD19 extreme precautions as this hotel told us.  WE believe that the hotel canceled so they can book the rooms a higher price since it was the 4th of July weekend!!!! please do not trust this people. They have not respect, compassion or  care for no one exempt the $$$$

Bad experience

We arrived to Casa Encinares and "seemed" a quiet place. No actual front desk just someone who did not even introduced herself. We were told we were going to have rooms right next to each other (in our reservation). We found out we got one room downstairs and the other upstairs. Not good view in either of them. Finishes and overall quality of material is poor. Smelly rooms. Sheets are old. Dogs obviously had been walking around, poop in different areas. Not nice. Right after we settled we saw a party at the swimming pool with extremely loud music.We contacted the owner and we were told to "get used to the noise" According to the regulations of the place (article 5) loud music and disturbing noises are prohibited. Again, we try to talk to the management again no luck. Guests were very drunk and no receptive to the call for lowering the music. We ended leaving the promises.  If management knew about a private party they should have mentioned before so we could decide to stay or not in a place like that. Do not stay here. Too expensive for what it is offered.
Bad condition of the route to get in and out.

Bad experience -

We stayed at Casa Encinares to celebrate a friend’s birthday, we booked a 6-person room. The first downfall was the fact the house doors didn’t lock. We knew we were not going to feel comfortable or safe at night. Little did we know the reason we’d feel unsafe was because the house had animal poop everywhere and a living, flying bat! When we arrived, we dropped off our bags and headed out to the wineries, we didn’t think to inspect the house. When we returned to the house late at night is when we discovered the bat. There is no actual front desk so we didn’t know who to complain too. We weren’t able to get rid of the bat, all 6 of us slept in the one room where the bat hadn’t pooped. Aside from the poop, the sheets were had tiny holes and blood stains and lipstick stains. It was the most uncomfortable night! We paid over $300 for one night in a dirty room, which we think was ridiculous. We complained the next day to the lady who made the breakfast however we didn’t receive any sort of a refund. It was clear the lady had no control over refunds. We will never return and will NOT be recommending this place to anyone. 

Message to the owners: replace the locks and invest in new sheets that don’t have holes, blood and lipstick stains. Give this house some TLC, especially if you’re going to charge over $300. It was disgusting.

Wouldn’t stay here again even if it was free!

My wife and I loved it here. It’s accessible with a minivan, but gave me the opportunity to test my 4x4 skills. Once here, the owner was delightful and very attentive. We really made great memories here. The food was great too.

Great place!

This little BB is located in a very remote location surrounded by mountains which was fabulous. The rooms are large enough but nothing fancy, only one electric outlet, no internet but plenty of hot water (not a lot of pressure). 
Breakfast were good, but the coffee could be improved it tasted like warm brown water. Lol.

In needs of tending loving care

My wife and I stayed here for two nights for a wedding.  We loved our stay and enjoyed the peace and tranquil nature of these grounds.  The group that runs/supports this B&B does a fantastic job.  Arturo is great, there with everything you need and Michael greets guests and interacts with them to make sure they are comfortable.  The rooms are modest but beds were comfortable.  The cleanliness of the bathrooms could use some attention, but overall a great location away from all the hustle and bustle.  Visit the wineries in the area, they are fantastic and rival some of the best in Napa.
