Meant to stay at another place but made a mistake in booking this place instead. Pros: customer service. The guy at the counter was nice and kind. Cons:
1) no latch locks in rooms and backdoor of premise. If you are a female solo traveller, you may need to seriously consider about staying here. This is a self-service mini inn with only 6 or so rooms and there was no other guests except me and there was no one at the front desk. The staff left at 9pm.
2) a hole in bathroom door. When i sat on the toilet seat, I saw a big hole and could see the bed even when I closed the toilet/bathroom door. 
3) no toilet paper and had to ask the staff for it.
4) no tv in the room! You could pay much less or the same price in other hotels with tv in town. Not worth the money.
5) no shampoo. Yes there were shampoo and soap canister in the bathroom but they looked like they were not changed for a long time and when I pressed, nothing came out.
6) when i wanted to check in, I thought the hotel was closed because it looked dark from outside. Apparently no one was in it and I saw the staff hurriedly walked upstairs towards the hotel.
7) dimmed lights in corridor and lobby. 
8) noisy at night from karaoke downstairs.

I booked for two nights but did not sleep in this hotel the first night, found another place to stay and cancelled my stay for the next day. I was assured by the staff that the hotel is secure and safe but I did not feel it. The Second Room hotel experience did affect my travel but I had a lovely time at another hotel in town. Sorry Second Room. I won't be coming back.

Not worth it

I was in Ranau, Sabah on a business trip. This was the 1st time I stay in this hotel.
I chose to stay at standard queen room with toilets but no windows. Charges of the room was RM99.

Here’re what I like about this hotel:
1)	Brand new hotel around Ranau town.
2)	Not far from town, about 5min.
3)	Away from busy main road.
4)	Sufficient parking lot.
5)	Nearby minimarket, restaurant, laundry, food court, karaoke, hospital. 2 min walking distance to the nearest restaurant and laundry.
6)	Comfort room.
7)	Free wifi, speed and respond of internet are good for light surfing.
8)	Friendly receptionist.
9)	2 socket outlets for charging your gadget.
10)	Other facilities: Hot water shower, air-conditioning unit and cloth hanger.

Here’re what I dislike about this hotel:
1)	No light install at staircase leading to this hotel which is located at 1st floor of shop lot.
2)	Signboard of hotel difficult to spot especially when you are driving.
3)	Customers are requested to wear slipper inside hotel and rooms.
4)	Corridor lighting were off in order to save electricity.
5)	Slow internet, about 1mbps. Will be slower during peak season.
6)	3G signal for hand phone inside hotel is poor or none. I was force to rely on free wifi to work and entertainment.
7)	No tv.
8)	Light flicker whenever hot water shower was switched on.
9)	No mirror inside toilet.
10)	Very small wash basin.
11)	Table was located far away from socket outlet.
12)	Small toilet.
13)	Sound insulation of wall is inadequate.
14)	Official receipt was emailed instead of print and gave to customers on the spot.

Until I find a better hotel with price range from RM120-150, I’ll continue to stay in this hotel.
