In my experience it is perfect. The view to the lake from room is perfect (especially in the morning and at night). Food was perfect. Quiet, clean. The service was excellent. Free parking. Perfectly away from town.

Loved it

This hotel didn't meet the expecations I had before the visit. It suppose to have a lake behind the building, rooms with "lake view"even have a higher rate. We were so much looking for a nice swim in the evening, after a long day with 30degrees outside. Well, there's no lake, just mud. On the map you see 3 more lakes but there's no path to them. 
The rooms have no aircondition. What was also not clear to me while booking: the hotel is situated in a residental area, so it was a busy Friday party night in the neibouring garden).
All in all the hotel is not in the best shape, bathroom wasn't exactly clean. Fine for one night but I'd not go there again.

Just fine for one night but...

Room was a bit small but clean. Breakfast was very good and they ask time when we woul'd like to eat. The staff spoke english very well. Country hotel, bit far from center but with car that wasn't a problem.

Ok place to stay for one night

The hotel was set back from the main area adjacent to farming areas and a small lake. The service was personal and meals very good. The rooms were large, although the bathrooms were a little small with interesting choice of tap ware, but quite functional. The curtains could have been thicker as the sun comes up a early in summer.

Stay where the Italian Bobsled team do

A lovely little country hotel.  It is small with I guess about a dozen rooms.  It is 3.5km from Sigulda so only suitable by car or in our case a group bike tour.  Being out of town it is quiet with pleasant country views and a relaxed feel.  The rooms are of a good size, a large children's play area, and a downstairs bar, lounge area and patio.  The dinner was good and breakfast the normal fare. The staff were very friendly and would wash and dry a load of washing for 7 euro which was much appreciated in the middle of a cycling trip.  The only complaint was that the curtains are a light mesh and do not block the light.

They have a sauna house with a sauna that can fit 4 to 6 people, a cold water plunge pool, and relaxation room. You need to call or email ahead to book it, it costs 25 euro and hour but you can have group of people.
