I had friendly service. One employee spoke some English. 

Hotel is beautiful.

Prices are low.

The hotel is in a very good location. It is very close to the Thai embassy and many shops. This can be to your advantage. Try it.

Smile when talking to staff. They may not understand English but they want to help you. Be patient.

500B per night. Everybody smiles. I speak quite ok thai, that's help ALOT. No English whatsoever, good luck communicating. 

Have free breakfast but it isn't so good because it have chicken on the morning. Great coffee though. And the scramble egg as well. 

The wifi quite fast. Basic room. Low standard for westerns but hey, just 500B a day. You can bring friends, lady, smoke. Sabai sabai.

DO NOT EXPECT SOMETHING FANCY.

1km from the thai embassy, I came for the visa run.

Check out the wood carvings and interesting elephant motif that runs through the place. Breakfast is a little limited but the room was nice and the aircon good. The chap at the desk was really helpful too....  a very nice host so thanks to him.

I had a tiny expensive room looking on to a brick wall.
The person booking me in wanted me to give him the money and not sign any register or receive a receipt.
He also asked if I wanted a lady, and when I said no, he offered himself.
Do not go in the back way. I was attacked by a pack of dogs.
However the room was clean enough.
I moved next door to a guest house after one night.

Just stayed one night.

Stayed one night at this hotel, in January this year.
The hotel who consist of tree separate buildings looks ok.
We got one of the last free rooms, as they sed. In the newest building. Who looks almost like a motel.
They did not speak any English at the reseption. My wife is from Thiland, and she does also Speak Lao. So that was not the main problem. We arrived in the afternoon.
We got a room on second floor, at the right side of the gate. Out to the street. With a fence between hotel rooms and the street.
The room looked god and klean. We left our luggage in the room, and went to the river. Had a good dinner at a floating restaurant in Mekong river. We had all our valuables with us.
Had a walk back at dusk, and to the hotel room. After I had a shower, I could barely get into the bed before I was sleeping.
My wife went to bed an hour later, also after taking shower.
Next morning I woke up because of noise from the street, and found one window toward the street staying open. All our valuables left on a table and our handbags with money, creditcards and pasports, standing close to head end of the beds were gone. The polise were already waiting outside at the street. And they did a good job. They had already caught the robbers.
Reporting to the police and insurance company, is another story.
Morale: Do not wear visible juvels on body in Laos. wear not to good looking clothes. At restaurants always have bottles with water or other liquids on the table. The custom is to place such things a bit away on a small table. And the waiters comes by and fills up your glasses. I'm still wondering if we were drugged at the river or if gas were sent into the room. But the police found gas masks in the bags, so maybe gas most likely. Or a combination.

DRUGGED AND ROBBED. BEWARE.

We stayed at this so called hotel for 1 night, room rate was 600Baht and we were on the third floor. Be warned there is no lift and all stairs, so if you are carrying heavy suitcases, then good luck. Upon arrival you will be given no information about the hotel or even if their is internet available. Staff have very poor English skills for a hotel. The room we stayed in was a in need of repairs with cracks throughout the wall and the tv 📺 came from the 80 as it was the old very wide tv, be advised, tv reception is poor.  Don’t expect hot water from the shower only luke warm at the best. Overall we would not ever stay here again.
