CliffView Riverside Bungalows

We had a four night stay at cliff view and were really happy with our choice. The bungalows are accessed via a wooden footbridge, which puts you in a great spot - two minute walk away from the busy main street, with uninterrupted views across to the mountains. We were checked in by the friendly owner who directed us to our room. Our bungalow was a good generous size, with a big comfortable bed, powerful hot shower, quiet A/C and balconies both at the front and rear, so we could enjoy both river and mountain views. Breakfast was simple but tasty and freshly prepared once we were seated. We ate a couple of times at the on site BBQ grill, which gets incredibly busy at the weekend and yet still maintains an excellent, speedy service. The music from the restaurant does get cranked up pretty loud from about 5.30, but is generally turned off by 11pm, so didn't disturb our evening. Some of the staff don't speak much English, but the hotel is in Laos so I wouldn't expect them to! We managed to communicate with all the staff just fine and they were all very cheerful. Overall we had a great stay at cliff view and would recommend it as an option just away from the noise of the centre with the bonus of a peaceful garden and only countryside between you and the mountains, great value too.
