Spent 24 nights at Masai Lodge. The place is within a National Park - not far from downtown Nairobi and the two International Airports are nearby. The management and staff have exceptional customer service. The food and drinks are great. And the natural surroundings are gorgeous! I highly recommend this for any visitor to Nairobi.

Quiet enviroment with that sweet touch of nature in middle of the Nairobi national park,with a great view of wild animals and greatest service have ever experienced.from the security personell to the management.it was a great experience and the facilities are pocket friendly .

I spent 2 weeks at the Masai Lodge in February of this year (2019) and had an excellent experience. From the friendly staff to the good food, it was all around an amazing place to hold a training session and to relax between workshops. 
The staff were attentive and friendly. The scenery was amazing! And the wildlife an added bonus.

Nested on the boundary of Nairobi National Park is a great gem. Serene environment with ever smiling staff. I had to keep reminding myself that I am still within Nairobi city. Great place for excursions and team building. great hide away also for the 'introverts'

My stay at Masai Lodge 

place to be.

An Excellent Stay!

First time experience

Was a beautiful weekend spent with my husband and baby. 
The lodge is beautiful with lush grounds, space and so many places that one can choose from to eat and just relax from.
The pool area is also huge with enough sitting area for lunch or just a swim and good well maintained changing rooms and  a sit in front of the river. 
They have tried to maintain the natural form of things and was good to see the friendly animals, hear the birds and just relax in the relative quiet of the lodge.
Though the distances form quite a taxing point for walking and the many stairs tough for the unfit... Like me..😆 or physically impaired. Restaurant and bars are on separate levels and the pool quite a long way out with many stairs from the reception. 
The staff seemed quite caught up and not as friendly as expected in a lodge especially the front office staff and restaurant staff especially those serving by the pool. 
The first two days were okay and the food was surprisingly good especially for the meat lovers in us and the chefs were accommodating in preparation for food for the baby which he enjoyed and l guess an advantage for not having so many in-house guests but things went downhill on Sunday where it seems the rush and visits caused a crowd especially at the pool area. We had to wait for more than an hour for our lunch and when it came it was a poor meal done in a rush with portions off and tasting very different from what we had expected, our waiter dumped the food and forgot about us until it was bill time and for sure our last day there was a disappointment. 
The rooms are however beautiful and comfy though would wish for better quality of towels as they were dry and just tough to touch that we couldn't even use for the baby and the hot water kettle didn't work and even on asking, it was never replaced and so never enjoyed a hot tea or hot water in the cold nights.
But a beautiful place for a step back to nature, out of the city, just reconnect as a couple and bond as a family and was a good experience in all.

A different experience.. 

The food is pathetic and overly pricy !
Spent  Christmas day there and was served badly done pork and stale fries .
I spent the better part of my Boxing Day regretting why I ate that food .
Pathetic service , pathetic food with limited options 
It’s a 3/10 for me .

The food is pathetic !

I came here expecting a budget location and my review still takes this into consideration as I was not expecting the Hilton.

One of my staff had to allocate our guests rooms as it had not been done by the hotel staff.

I bought 45 guests for two nights to this lodge.

On arrival I was guided to my room but expected to carry all my own bags. The rooms were stuff and dated with a instant electric shower that didn't get hot. It had nice views and the bed was comfortable. 

Over the next three days I stuffled with the staff with a number of issues. All the staff seemed addicted to their phones rather than their customers.

Lunch's arranged at certain times didn't come and when I asked for better service the staff laughed like I was being silly.

The conference room has a projector that shows everything in red. When the IT guy came he said he had the nack and touched some wires to get the screen the right colour. He proudly told me he was very good at this now - so why has this not been fixed! It's just a new cable.

Food was good, chef made homemade pudding and I was impressed. 

When the power went off the generator was broken so we had to use our powerpoint off our phones in the dark. 

As left I thought I could use the location, as cheap prices and good location, but another problem arose.

I realised that I had left my jacket and my wallet at the lodge. I rang to see if they had it and they did. Great! So I sent a taxi to collect it. On arrival my taxi driver was told there was a small outstanding bill and that my wallet and jacket would not be released until the bill is paid. Having just paid the hotel over $8000 I assumed we could settle the $100 dollars once I had my wallet back and could make payments. The hotel refused and called me to say I had dodged the payment! Apparently they could not have given me the invoice while I was there as I was not to be found. (I ran a three day conference in their hotel!?)

So I was forced to use a friend's money to pay this bill as they were questioning my integrity to get my wallet and jacket back. Only to find that my wallet is devoid of any cash once returned.

Never again.
