This inn is a 3 floor house with japanese style room. Located near the bus stop and easy to find. The front door is decorated with small plants and flower and you have to take some steps to reach the door.

Just ask the owner in the restaurant next door to check in and she/he will show you the room, the furo onsen (2 private onsen on the basement), water for drink and give you the key of the room. Please take off your shoes first and change with slippers provided (it’s the etiquette here).

Ours is on the second floor, joining 2 room become 1 for 5 person. They already arrange the futon and give some other in the big cabinet in the room. There’s also yukata which you can put them on with obi.

Next to our room is public toilet with 3 toilets inside, only 1 room with bidet. And there is smoking room on the other end of the hall.

The room cover with tatami and the facilities include air con, tv, water boiler, towels (big and small).

In the morning you can stroll along the lake by walking from the path in front of the inn, where you can see the famous mt fuji if the weather is clear.

Don’t forget to try the onsen, just make sure you have clean yourself before entering the bathtub and enjoy the relaxing moment.

If you are hungry and don’t want to go anywhere, just order the food in the restaurant, it’s quite delicious. We order fried rice, ramen, gyoza.

Nice experience while you are in Japan and want to try living like local.

Good location, japanese style

Very clean property. It was a surprise waking up to Mt Fuji on our window. The hotel is conveniently located at a bus stop as well as at close proximity to anything we needed at Yamanakako. The feels of the hotel was a very clean Japanese house - a very good Guesthouse indeed. ;)

Good location with a friendly host. Nice private bath. The room we ordered is too small, even not enough to open our medium size suitcase in the room. We stayed here for 3 nights, there was no room cleaning on the second day, maybe because we did not drop the key on that day.

Satisfactory stay

The location is very practical, right next to the bus stop (beware of the bus if you can, it's so expensive!) and the lake. It's an old house and the decoration is a bit old, but perfectly clean and comfortable. The restaurant is also very good, food is homemade (loved the udon with local vegetables!) 
Unfortunately, people kept slamming the doors late in the night and in the morning. I could hear everything that was happening in the corridor. The hotel is expensive for what it is. I had a shared bathroom for the price of an en-suite bathroom in Tokyo.

Pricey but confortable old hotel

What a wonderful establishment! Even though there are western style rooms, we took a Japanese style. If you do that, you need to learn how to put a Japanese futon together to sleep on the tatami mats. As a westerner nervous about shared baths but wanting to experience a "onsen buro" you could reserve theirs for yourselves and not feel embarrassed.

The most incredible experience though is their meals. For breakfast, I counted eleven separate items! Make sure to also have at least one supper as it is equally as wonderful. Note that you should let them know ahead of time that you will be having their meals. 

It is conveniently located at the bus stop if that is how you are traveling to Yamanakako.

Finally this is a cash establishment so bring the correct change.
