This hotel is just off the exit of the JR Oita Station on the left of the station square and is a very smart budget option.  Room was clean and linen changed everyday. Fair sized bathroom with hot water at all times.  Wi-Fi was spotty  but managed to do the job. 

The front desk team was very efficient and made us feel very welcome during our stay.  No restaurant at the hotel but the entire area offers many options including 7-11 and Family Marts.  The lobby of the hotel offers vending machines for free coffee  and ocha.  I was very impressed with the value for money that this hotel provided and have no hesitation recommending this hotel to someone looking for a solid no-frill accommodation that is literally 20 steps away from the JR Oita station.

Promised, Delivered....

Very conveniently situated, a short walk from the station, shops & cafes, with a nice view of the Plaza, and close to the main part of Oita. The standard double room and bathroom was about the smallest we stayed in whilst in Japan. However, with breakfast provided, it was at a very reasonable price, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you are cost conscious, this hotel is good value.

Budget stay

Good - very conveinent location, just 2 mins walk from JR Oita station. Include a simple Western style breakfast at very good price

Bad - have a smell of damp and old. My husband is bitten by insects while he slept. 

I think we could found some better options next time.

Palm trees outside, the Plaza hotel at Oita Station was beautiful, with a great view, and i didnt hear anyone above below or beside us, and we got no noise complaints:D gotta love concrete walls.
