If you want a quiet place to enjoy the scenary,  onsen and food,  this is the place.  The rooms are elegant and you have your own room for meal.  There are many young employees (trainees)  from different asian countries,  so it may be a bit easier to communicate in English.  They are all devoted to their work.  

Thank you for the supervisor to come to the dinning room and wish me to have a happy birthday.  

清静，絕對有私人空間， 不會像其他的温泉旅館般熱鬧。還有好客， 熱心服務的服務員。 A quiet,  private place with warm-hearted employees.  

I stayed here with my partner and two friends (in two rooms) for two nights while exploring the Nikko area. The rooms were a bit smaller than some other ryokans I have been to but perfectly comfortable and clean. There were also two outdoor baths and two indoor baths (male and female) which would switch at particular times to allow guests to enjoy all the baths available during their stay. The outdoor baths in particular allowed you to enjoy views of the river and hills while bathing during daylight hours.

Great option for a weekend in Nikko

This hotel is near the station. The rooms and onsen has stunning views. The service is amazing!! The owner is a beautiful person that greeted us at dinner. The food is excellent! The staff really appreciated our business. After a day of hiking, this was paradise.

Great Service, Rooms and Food


This is the most heartily felt hospitality and respect we have had ever since we took trips in Japan.

Thanks to the Shacho, Emisan (please accept our apology if we spelt wrong) who personally held a traditional sake celebration of birthday for us, and presented gifts with greetings written in Japanese calligraphy, we felt both happy and honoured.

Last but not the least, the helpful, polite and sincere attitude of staff are much appreciated. 

We enjoyed our stay, and will not hesitate to stay again.

Great Hospitality 

This is a Traditional Japanese Onsen hotel.
The area here is quiet and clean,fresh air everywhere. 
The location of this hotel is easy to find and close to the station,like 5 mins on foot. 
They have a booking plan including breakfast and dinner.
We booked two rooms for 7 adults,the first one is Japanese Style 12 tatami (along valley) and the second one is a Special room (Japanese style room with 10 tatami mats + 8
tatami mats along the valley),the second room is bigger and the view from our room is absolutely stunning,it catch my breath away. As i remember they also have a room with private onsen for you to book online.
They offered us a big room for dinner which is so thoughtful. 
The food here looks like an art. It tasted good too. You can ask for more miso soup or rice during the breakfast if you don't feel full enough.
The onsen of this hotel is awesome and i love it cause it is quiet and clean,and the view make youfeel peaceful, you can enjoy yourself in this kind of place.
Staffs are very polite and helpful,they are willing to help you all the time.
We spend a night here and its unforgettable, I would come back again and recommend it to all of you.
BTW,They prepared a surprise gift to us cause there are two of us having our birthday in the next few days.

Unforgettable

We spent a night here on our honeymoon trip. The hotel was very clean and within easy reach of the Kinukawa Onsen station. 
The room was spacious enough for us and very clean. 
We arrived early and they were happy to keep the bags for us until later. When we came back we thought the boy who welcomed us at the entrance was not very friendly. No smile but very quick at telling us not to bring external food or drinks into the property (we had shopping bags in our hands when we returned to the hotel to check in). He didn't introduce us to the facilities or the flow of service as he lead us to our room which is unusual for an onsen ryokan at this level. So we had to go through the room facilities ourselves and find out ourselves the dinner is set up 15 minutes before our designated dinner time. Lucky we came back from the onsen by the time the dinner guy arrived otherwise the poor thing would've been waiting for us. The dinner guy's name is Ōkado and we both thought he did a good job at serving and explaining everything necessary to us. We mentioned it's our honeymoon and was surprised to later have the female owner visiting us half way through the meal to give us good wishes and served us sake in a huge traditional sale holder meant for good luck.
We loved the amenities and the massage chair in the onsen change room.
Breakfast was not as fancy as dinner. Dinner was great in our opinion.
Upon check out the female owner farewelled us at the reception and gave us paying gifts as part of the wish well.
Overall we liked this ryokan and think it's good value for money. Will recommend for those who want to enjoy a night in Kinukawa Onsen area at around AU$500 per night for a couple.

Very friendly and sweet female owner

Very good cuisine, bath, room and very nice and polite service! It was my birthday, and, though we did not inform the personal, they bring a glass of "Birthday Sake" during the dinner, and next morning at the check out they gave several very nice presents to me and a hand-written letter with Happy Birthday message.
Absolutely unforgettable weekend!  Thanks a lot!!!
