Hotel Azat

Great location next to Asato monorail station. Room was great for one person only. No drawers or wardrobe. The trip was before the border opened (was on cultural visa) so I forgive the minor issues as it had been two years since Naha saw many tourists. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was great.

Perfect location. Asato Station is just outside the hotel so great for transport around the city or to airport especially if you have heavy luggage. About 10mins walk to koudasai Street for any cafes or restaurant. We were given a 3 bed room as they ran out of twin room so a bit more space. Bed was comfortable with night light and charging point at each bed. Reception was crowded every evening, probably handling big groups. Basement carpark. Two different lifts for rooms and out of hotel. A little confusing. Overall, a pleasant stay with excellent location. 



Stayed at this hotel in Naha for one night in end Jan 19.  Location is a plus as it is just next to the Asato Monorail Station. We took a walk from the Naha Airport upon arrival to their Domestic Airport side where the monorail station is located to catch a ride to this hotel. All their monorail stations have lifts, so it was easy even if you have heavy luggage. Upon arrival at the hotel, we took the lift to the reception counter at the 3rd floor. We were welcomed to deposit our luggage with the very courteous staff at the reception as we arrived very early - so we could free ourselves to start visiting places of interest until the usual check-in time (15:00).  The room and toilet are clean and the room is very comfortable.  This hotel is also walking distance to the popular Kokusai shopping street where food outlets are plentiful.

Best part about this hotel is that it's just next to the Asato Station. For those who don't drive, it's so convenient especially after a day of sightseeing and shopping. There is also a 24-hour supermarket across from the hotel. Great for grabbing a bite early in the morning to catch a flight, or late at night when you have hunger pangs. It's also walking distance to Kokusai Street where you can do all your shopping. 

The room we booked (the new wing) is rather small but compact. There's hardly room to put luggage and move around. But the cleanliness of the room and comfortable bed more than made up for it. After all, we hardly stayed in the room. It would be great if they have a proper wardrobe as we were only given a few hangers to hang clothes and jackets. We have to stuff some clothes back into the luggage due to lack of hangers and space. 

Worth a mention is the thermal toilet bowl, it's warm when you sit on it. There are also spray functions for you to wash after you have finished your toilet business. It makes going to the toilet so much more enjoyable! 

Overall, the hotel is small but very clean and comfortable. There is a small cafeteria that provides breakfast (chargeable) and free coffee from 2pm onwards. Definitely a choice hotel if you do not intent to rent a car and just rely on the monorail to get around.

Hotel Azat, Naha

Great Location, Comfortable Stay

Stayed 2 nights in its Triple Room there in Naha. Equipped with 3 single beds which you could push together to form Hollywood Triple and good enough for 2 adults & 2 kids. Booked the room located in 'New Building" on 3/F which was convenience as same floor as Reception where lift could access in between Carpark & Guest Floor or you have to switch lift if you stay floors above.

Parking fee JPY$1200 for overnight which was acceptable. You may walk to Kokusai-dori 国際通り商店街 in 10 minutes. Remember to purchase bottles of water for your own before as hotel is not providing any free bottles though a free coffee stand there near the reception, as well as free bathroom amenities. Apart from those, nothing special!

Moderate

It was January 2017 and was called Best Western Naha.  Rooms were very small.  The larger room with three beds was not available for even one night over the 10 day stay on two separate 10 day visits. So we had to book separate rooms which made it more expensive. The rooms were clean and AC worked well.  The hotel sold us tickets for one week of breakfasts for three people.  The tickets were dated and not usable once the dates passed, so when we had unused tickets we could not get refunded. Advise is to purchase tickets just before you use them, per day. Breakfast however, was good. Location was good.  Adjacent to one of the monorail stations. We could walk to Kokusai Dori from behind the hotel.  In January 2018, it was no longer called Best Western.

If you’re an Aussie prepare to be singing this in your head on loop as you trundle up and down Kakusaidori (International Street) which is a very short walk from azat (Billy Bowden raises a bent finger). Tiny rooms. Averagely priced. If you like cold eggs, bitter melon and spam then try the buffet breakfast. If you’re a human rather than a non-discerning food repository avoid the breakfast. We had a room with a view of the passing monorails which was nice. Convenient but mediocre.

Azat? Bowled you out and have a shout- azat!

This hotel showed us that not everything is perfect and neat in Japan. 
We got here during the golden week, which made the place full of tourist. We got a small 70’s room in the old part of the hotel with the monorail passing in front of our window and the busy intersection made the room quite noisy. Turning on the dusty ventilation would make it even noisier. The air in the room was irrespirable so i wanted to open the window. It was mission impossible as the window couldn’t be opened. Therefore, i asked the staff to open it, and they reacted very aggressive  to it, as well as to my request to change the room. The only one available was a smokers room, that i had to not accept, as well as their window couldn’t be open.
The free coffee machine was a plus, but not in breakfast time, when if you wanted to get just a coffee, even a paid good coffee, it was impossible. 
For short, there is room for improvement here, especially for small things like proper instructing the  staff. 
The location is the best part, with a lot of good places to eat right across the street.
